This team is about possible combinations with matching up Pokemon and weather. Each pokemon has its partner to support it when it can't handle a threat. The point is to exploit the weather through combinations and sweep with ease. It's an experiment, and I would like to try out. It has the already known Growthtran Combo; exploiters of Sunny Day.

Sunny Day

Tangrowth @ Heat Rock
Impish- 240 Hp, 152 Def, 100 Atk, 16 Spd
Sunny Day
Morning Sun
Power Whip
Rock Slide

Lead.
First Weather Side of team. I chose a physical tangrowth over the ideal special because I needed physical attacks- a team specific issue. Sets up and runs to Heatran and can stand its own. Chlorophyll boosts his speed, which is awsome.

Heatran @ Life Orb
Modest- 252 SpAtk, 252 Speed, 6 Hp
Dragon Pulse/Dark Pulse/Overheat
Fire Blast
Earth Power
Explosion

I dunno whether to have more type coverage or Over heat. This is wonderful when paired with Tangrowth. Benefits from Sunny day with Flash fire.

Rain Dance

Magnezone @ Wet rock
Bold- 253 Hp, 252 Def, 6 SpAtk
--------------
Rain Dance
Thunder
Light Screen
HP Ice

The whole point is to set up Rain Dance and Make it last with Wet Rock. Light screen for support, and EV spread is to make sure the Rain Dance comes through. Thunder for 100% Accuracy in Rain, and HP Ice for dragons.

Floatzel @ Choice Band
Adamant- 252 Atk, 240 Hp, 16 Spd
----------
Brick Break
Waterfall
Crunch
Ice fang

Floatzel is paired with Magnezone. Swift swim and Rain dance makes him outspeed EVERYTHING. Covers 14 (I think) types S-Effectively. Choice band to come in, ****, and leave. Works well with Magnezone because 'Zone resists electric and grass, Floatzel's weaknesses. Magnezone's Light Screen is for added support.

Walls

Blissey@ Lefties
Bold- 252 Def, 148 HP, 100 SpAtk, 98 SpD
----------
Thunderbolt/Ice beam/Thunder?
Soft-boiled/Wish?
Aromatherapy
Stealth Rock

Special wall. Debating whether to use Wish or Softboiled, wish is for team support. Stealth rock is to go nicely with Donphan who sports roar. Simple.

Donphan@ Lefties
Impish- 252 Def, 252 Hp, 6 Atk
-----------
Earthquake
Rapid Spin
Ice Shard
Roar

Switches in on attacks Blissey cant handle and supports her and the team in general. Roar for Phazing and Stealth rock damage. Ice shard for Dragons, and Rapid spin for support.

Yeah, I do notice that I run two different Weathers. I’m here to find out if this works. Please help. :D

Why don't you have a sandstorm section? You could switch blissey for tyranitar, and then you would be set for your sandstorm section of the team. Then again, the idea of a weather-based team is rather dumb in my opinion, sorry.

Sandstorm is too much to deal with. Two is fine. By the way, this team can run just fine without the weather, I don't see why its so 'dumb'. But, thats your opinion, and it's respected. Switching out Blissey is asking to be swept by the likes of Starmie/ Porygon-Z, and Azelf.
Thanks for your opinion though.

I didn't mean that the entire idea is dumb, it's just that, I wouldn't want to revolve my team around weather moves, the team you have isn't dumb or bad or anything in my opinion, and I only suggested to switch out blissey for tyranitar because I was mentioning the bit about having sandstorm, and tyranitar's special defence as we all know is raised due to sandstorm. Yeah.

very nice team i must say, one of the better ones, getting use to a floatzel is good too (i mean, he's fast and has a decent attack too)

i'd give it a 8/10, but that's just me

removing blissey from his team would kill him severly, he needs a special wall, ttar doesn't do as well as blissey also

and sandstorm would hurt his team more than help it

Thanks, mood4food. T-Tar doesn't compare with Blissey, even if it is under Sandstorm. Half of my team is immune to sandstorm, but thats too much crap.
I think I might use Sleep Powder over Rock Slide on Tangrowth.

no, keep rock slide

if you take it away, you won't be able to really damage flying, bug, fire, and poison types

Well then you obviously haven't face a GrowthTran Combo and you obviously havent gotten a 641 Attack power Overheat to the face by Heatran

-"Overheat is a 140-based Fire-attack. After STAB, it runs at 210 power. Now, factor in the fun parts. After Life Orb, it hits at 273 power. After Flash Fire -- provided you switched in on a fire attack following Tangrowth's bait -- it hits 409 power. Finally, after Sunny Day, which is almost guaranteed to be up with Tangrowth leading off and holding Heat Rock, the attack hits a whopping 614-statistic, far more powerful than Explosion that can be used two to three times before the loss in special attack becomes too great." - FutureSuperStar

And Honestly, a Growthtran Combo isn't THAT hard to set-up...if you have a brain.
Oh, one point of this team is to screw over Sandstorm teams and Sandstorm sipping away at your HP. ..T-Tar can't touch this. ;)

Good. If you give it Sleep Powder, then it can be a fast put-to-sleeper, like Crobat or Gengar. I'm not saying you should, though.

Heatran @ Life Orb
Modest- 252 SpAtk, 252 Speed, 6 Hp
Dragon Pulse/Dark Pulse/Overheat
Fire Blast

Tangrowth and Heatran resist each other's weaknesses except Heatran's Fighting. OVERHEAT FTW!!!!11!1!1

Hmm... 253 + 252 + 6 = 511...

It only covers 12. (Not Water, Electric, Fighting, Poison, or Bug)

I'd use Thunderbolt or Ice Beam because you might have to come in and wall a Pokemon during Sunny Day's effect. Wish if you want your Pokemon combos to last.

WHOA WHOA WHOA!1!!!!11 252 + 148 + 100 + 98 = 598???!??!/1/?!

Good.

Of course you should notice you run two different Weathers. :lick:
Hmm... Three Pokes are weak to Fighting and you have no Fighting resist... BUT, it's not like they'll get past the walling strength of Donphan or the awesome Mojo. (Tangrowth's japanese name is Mojonbo) (Yes, I'm baised towards Mojo because I love him. He's AWESOME.)

9.5/10 :bigthumbu

I don't care what anyone says, I like the name Growthtran.

An idea like this would probably require field experience. The need to switch between weather effects means at any time you'll need to use a turn changing the weather. A serious disavantage for you.

For flotzel I prefer the swords dance/Aqua jet but given that you may need weather switching it's probably for the best that he takes advantage of the weather as quick as he can.

I like the idea of having two "mini-teams" but I can already see problems with the idea like I mentioned.

What's with you and your EV spreads? You did the same thing last time.

I don't know wtf is wrong with some people here, but this team is pretty awesome AND original, everything I see around are a lot of T-tars/Mences/Gross around. (I use T-tar)

Nice shiet dude, awesome team. Like Wii4Mii I'll give you 9/10 since every team has it weakness, good job.

Yeah, I just noticed that once Mojo and Magnezone are down, Tyranitar can rule the weather.

Man, I wish there was an instant Sun/Rain bringing Pokemon, like Groudon and Kyogre, but was actually allowed in OU.

It still isn't going to lower the rating, though. ;)

I don't even mean that in regards to Tyranitar.

Let's say she(he?) has one of his pokemon use rain dance. If the need arises for Heatran to come out it's been put into a tough spot because it's main form of attacking is now weakened.

Yeah, that makes sense, too.

Yeah, about the he/she thing... I dunno, but I assume everyone is a male unless their avatar is a girl or if their username has a girl name in it, like Peachtress. I know, it makes NO sense whatsoever.[/offtopic]
