I work the register at Taco Bell. Any way, this lady comes up and asks if the food makers wear. I told her no. But she insisted on them wearing gloves(to make her order). They do and then while I'm finishing up her order, the manager jokingly makes a comment about the gloves. That's when all hell broke loose. She then proceeds to chew out the manager. "I own a restaurant and I take hygiene very seriously! I'll just go to Burger King if this is gonna be problem!" But we made her food and then she left pissed off.
I felt like telling her, "Ma'am, have you seen the movie "Waiting" by any chance?"

I am never eating at Taco Bell if they don't wear gloves. I stopped eating fast food, but the times I do, I make sure they at least wear gloves. No need to get even more sick from the piss-poor food.

The pool rooms been sucking lately.
This isn't a bad thread, compared to a lot of the other ones right now.

As for wearing gloves, I really don't care. Just as long as I don't see them making the food.

I lived off of fast food in High School and didn't die, so I shouldn't be afraid of it.

Heh, people are weird. Why do people complain about health and hygiene when going to a fast food restaurant, though? To me, it should be just one of those "once in a while, tired, not wanting to make something" deal, because we all know it isn't exactly the best for you, and it shouldn't be a problem just once if you care that much-chances are you'd be healthy then, anyway.
I learned something today, no gloves...I thought that required. Guess not. Interesting. It's not going to stop me from eating there, though...that's for sure. I don't know if it is worth fretting about, though, I've been to places where workers use the bathroom and don't wash their hands...that's happened quite a few times, actually. But if you worry that much, I don't know why you'd want o go to a palce like that anyway.

It was an accident, though. All apologies on that one. Ugh.

It happens. Now that I do read my post over, it was a...dumb thing to put in. At least the rest of it makes partial sense, so we're good, right? Chances are you go to the bathroom AFTER you finish eating, so by then it is too late to worry. I'll let you know I'm not fond of seeing it, though. I also notice my last sentence got a little lazy. Again, my post still goes, going to a fast food place means less-healthy in general, so it doesn't take me by surprise or anything. I don't go to places much so I don't tend to worry as much as other people.

If you were so worried about your heath, why would you be eating at a Taco Bell?

The media & ect. has made people paranoid over some of the stupidest things. Gah.

There's a diference between eating unhealthy food and food that's been made by some guy who sneezed or coughed on his hands. It's a legal requirement over here, not sure about hairnets, but all major fastfood joints here people have to wear hats.

I understand that difference, but there's always a risk of something going wrong, somewhere along the line, and I just don't worry about it much. I guess I just find it odd when people are especially picky. And, yeah, we have the same laws here.
I don't eat fast food more than once or twice a month, anyways. If I have it a few times in a week (which I haven't done for well over a year now), I actually start to feel a little bit sick.

I think the glove laws differ from state to state. I'm pretty sure that Utahns have to use gloves in fast food.

Sit down restaurants, though, I've never seen a place that does wear gloves.
