We would be allowed to put names to the amibos?

Im curious because they say that the concept of amibos was extracted from the toys of our childhood but i also put a lot of names to my toys in my childhood so... Can we put names to then? And what amibo are you going to have?

Personally, I would consider collecting a Luigi Amiibo, and train him to be as ANNOYING as physically possible. I'd name him Squeegi.

I am sure that if you take them online that your name will be placed above the Amiibo. You might be able to name them using the name system; but that is going to be limited to six characters if they add another character this generation.
