Judging by today's update, they actually have. Demos? Of old NES and SNES Games? Wait... What's that? NINTENDO 64 TOO?! This can't do anything but give me hope and reassure me that, if Sakurai and his team have actually thought about this and had the time and space to include it in the game. Then this game's roster will probable satisfy most of the fans.

GO SAKURAI!!!

Yeah, that is, if they didn't sacrifice potential time to make more quality characters just to make a freaking demo channel that the Virtual Shop could've done instead...

lawl

But seriously, the fact that they chose that screen of Super Metroid with Ridley in it. The fact that they chose Super Metroid instead of say...Metroid from NES. I also think that (if you look at the save states) one is the first Ridley fight, and another save slot surely is either the second Ridley fight or the final battle with Mother Brain.

What i found curious is that Falco is saying he has to leave. But of course it could be anything. It IS curious though.

Or maybe they're just showing the other newcomers from the respective newcomers...

I mean, Ridley, Falco, Woddle Dee, Koopa, Octorak, Medusa Snake thing...um, nevermind.

What he did was kind of a waste. No offense but I'm sure we'll be more enthusiastic into playing brawl then the original series of each character..

Wow nice observation about Falco:) i dont really care tho if he's i nor not cus i dont like star fox too much. but he's my fav star fox character.

Ridley is most likely in, but if they are hinting at something about Ridley, it could just be that Ridley's a boss.

Nah, Sakurai is clearly showing that Ridley is just too big for Brawl! ;)

Maybe Sakurai could never save him.

this is the stupidest update ever. thx for wasting time and resources sakurai.
Also how theres like 3 noobs here going crazy over some pics of "falco leaving" and "Ridley entering" lol... they are just simple pictures... he chose those because those are how people remember the games the most, the first boss fight, and first level of star fox.

Look at the japanese page! They show Mother 2 and Fire Emblem! I will surely not jump to conclusions, but why would these two games be in Brawl without Marth and Ness? They have to be in Brawl as playable characters.

With the stuff brawl central is showing us, I'm not really concerned about the updates any longer. If it's a great update then cool! But if it's a sucky update Brawl central will have learned something new by then and thus it takes the place of the crap update. And with the game coming out on Thursday, the waiting (in terms of information) will finally be over.

Now going back to the TC's points, I have to agree. But I'm not surprised really. They had the perfect mindset from the beginning. From the Iwata interview, Sakurai said that he made the game with the mindset that it would be the last game in the series. Therefore, his mind told him to go all out and aim for the stars. The end result is what we have and we haven't even seen the entire product yet. Rest assured that there are more secret goodies out there. This is what dedication and loving what you do will get you in the long run. You have a chance at a masterpiece if you have the right attitude about it. This is somewhat off the subject, but I compare Sakurai's developers to RPG developers as of late who refuse to include an explorable world map in their games. Chances are I'll remember Sakurai's game for all time. As for the RPGs? Well only one stands out. The rest I don't remember.

Trust me, I'm not right behind you.
Although I was hoping for a new character, this was good too. It shows us that there really isnt going to be anything missing in Brawl. It will be poifect! I'm guessing we won't get ANY new characters now that the starting roster has been revealed. But thats ok. :0

The thing is that we are assuming SoccerEye thinks like we do. "Why R.O.B. in roster he is not allowed to go from coin tosser/SSe enemy to Pc no he is not allowed to do that Sakurai unintenionally proved he is out". The screens were selected without any consideration of what they suggest, that is what I think.

Mother2: Lucas
FE1: Ike
The games shown are just memorable games of that characters series, that being said I do think Marth and Ness are in(Ness is 100% I know.......or it could be Ninten......nahh....) and Marth is a vet, well liked, and is a major character within the Fire Emblem series.

I hope this doesn't give us a worse roster. I mean that they're focusing on so many unnecessary things when they should be focusing on characters and stages. Cause' in the end, that's what matters the most in Smash.

For falco's sake I hope the pictures mean nothing are just random picture they picked. I wonder if the japanese version of brawl will get different demos than us?

i havent thought about japan getting different demos... hopefully not:( well, in the VC, are there games that were in Japanese and were in Japanese until the VC? if there are games that were only released as Japanese and now are english too, then they'll probably have the same demos.

If you're worried about Falco being out because in the picture he was hurt, don't. Check the japanese page, it has a completely different Star Fox 64 picture.

The way people have interprited the Falco/Ridley things are so "GameFAQ-ish" yeah, stuff like "OMG that area has a little bit of wood, that means Geno is playable in Brawl!"

I must admit it's quite interesting though, but I doubt it's more than coincidence.

And if Sakurai HAD thought of everything, Mewtwo would still be in it ;)

Basically Mewtwo is still in or Sakurai is a hypocrite, and only Sakurai can choose >=D

wow...I'm so happy. The biggest hope I had for Brawl was that it would advertise the great games I could download on VC. I was so worried that it wouldn't have that.

Well actually when he says he has to leave, he means he's basically out of health. That scene with him saying that is from the first level of Star Fox 64. But it might be hinting that he won't return to Brawl. Hopefully Ridley will join though.

As far as I'm concerned, the starting roster is already better than Melee's, so I don't think that he'll mess up the unlockables. (Still, I could be wrong) And it really wouldn't take much time at all to make the demos anyway; he might have even outsourced them to one of Nintendo's other offices. (Or a group of his 600 part time staff)

We'll just have to wait and see, as always :)

How is Masterpieces a waste of resources? It probably took them less than a day to do. A single character might take weeks.

I think adding super smash bros (not melee) instead of th VC games [that people mayhave already payed for on VC as a channel might I add] would have made people a LOT happier. It would also leave more room for stages because the past stages from the regular game could have been played through that.

Hehe, chances are, SSB64 will be promoted on VC alongside Brawl, Nintendo wouldn't pass up the chance to get some sales of that

I personally am glad to be able to play these demos. Will I enjoy this feature a year from now? Probably not, but I already own Super Smash Bros. for the N64 (although I still hope almost all of the original stages will come back in Brawl)

I disagree. I understand full-well why he did it. He put in demos of the character's best games, so that people who have no idea where they came from, would be able to test the game and see what made that character great.

I'm glad he did this. Plus, this does indeed mean theyve thought of everything.

Yay, Earthbound confirmed for VC. Do the Kirby dance <(^.^)> >(^.^)> <(^.^)< ^(^.^)^ v(^.^)V. Lol, I got Kirby's Adventure on VC today because of this. Also got Metroid from friend recently. I'll have played almost every series. As far as I'm concerned, Kirby's awesome.

I'm betting that quote is being held ransom for judgement day... "Why no Megaman, Sakurai said he thought of everything!" That's the thing boys, he thought. Thought alone doesn't bring a character in.

On topic: Yeah, pretty good, but the only game I really care about there is Super Metroid, and I already have that one, so...

heh heh heh "poifect" heh heh

but yeah it could be hints but i doubt it. and i think the master pieces choices are only based on whats already avalaible so I'm sure the selection will kinda suck
