I have been recently looking for a tournament near my neighborhood in Staunton, VA. Sadly, not many people in Virginia are as passionate as I am about Super Smash Bros Brawl. I've been looking around here on smashboards.com and the only places I could find that were even in my state were Chesapeake Bay and Fairfax. With gas prices as high as they are, four to five hours at least to Chesapeake Bay and Fairfaxs and back for me is quite expensive. I really want to try to make Super Smash Bros. Brawl more popular in Virginia. It's sad how most tournaments in the Atlantic North are in New Jersey and New York. Anyways, all I'm asking is for someone to bring more of the tournament experience down here in Virginia. That would be awesome!

Ok, so, there are passionate players in VA, so I wouldn't just assume that because of tournaments. Now that that's out of the way, you're a part of MD/VA, which means most of our locals are in Maryland, and most of the top players in our region are in MD, so, most of the tourneys are going to be in MD. Most of the tourneys in VA are either SoVa, or in Woodbridge, and tournaments don't really happen much there either.

Basically, you have to be very patient for a tournament, but I'm sure you can get some people for small smashfest/play at your place/play at their place, look around in our regional board and you might have some luck. I myself and with my 3 friends are all very into Brawl, and we all live in VA, so we're out there.

I also live in Virginia. I just moved here like a month ago from Illionis. At the moment i live in chesterfield. I will be moving to a diffrent town in a few weeks. I hope there are turneys here. Please inform me if you find any thing about a turney in VA. Please and thanks.
