waveshining backwards

I have waveshining forward down, but some difficultys doing it backwards any tips

make sure to press jump before selecting a direction to wavedash in. that and practice. and try using the fox faq thread.

Waveshine backwards is all about not turning around in the shine before jumping. This means that you have to hit the jump button BEFORE you hit a direction on the control stick. If you hit back before you hit jump (which usually happens when you are in the habit of sliding the control stick for a waveshine) you will get stuck in the shine.
