Waveshining backwards trouble

so i can waveshine forwards consistently, but when i try to waveshine backwards i either turn around in my shine or sometimes i even jump and airdodge. i am able to waveshine backwards smoothly sometimes, but i dont know exactly how i was able to do it.

can anyone give any tips on this?

After you shine, and before you press jump, make sure to return the control stick to the neutral position.

Often when people waveshine, they move thier fingers from the down positions to facing forwards before they have jumped adn airdodged, however it you fo this backwards, the pressing back before you leave the ground makes you turn around in your shine


so basically you have to shine, jump, then hold back and down, then air-dodge


if you speed it up it'll become more natural you should be able to do it this well
