Waveshine?

Ive been working on my waveshine, and I can waveshine forwards very well, but the reverse waveshine is what gets me. I cant seem to do it because falco always turns around in his shine before i can wavedash. Any suggestions?

You're moving before jump-cancelling into the WD, try to not touch the stick before actually jumping.
