Waveshine button question

I'm trying to learn how to waveshine with falco. Before I start practicing though, I want to make sure I'm using the best possible way to do it. My question is about the position of the control stick throughout the waveshine. Do you fellow falco players:

1) Tilt the control stick straight down to shine, then move it to the left or right before hitting Y/X and L/R?

2) Tilt the control stick down left or down right to shine and just keep it there throughout the whole move.

Sorry if it seems a bit confusing, it's kinda tough to put into words what I'm trying to say but any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

LOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOL if i had a dollar for everytime this question was asked, i'd be richer than bill gates

but to answer your question simply, its as easy as just simply hitting shine, then wavedashing. also, hit jump before you move the control stick down-left or down-right

this reduces the chance of pulling out a random phantom

easy.

doing fast and continuous waveshines will require practice :p

the best method would be to
press B with your right thumb - slide it over to the A button to get to the X button you slide in one swift motion to minimize drag . then Press L/R with your left or right middle or index finger also in a swift motion from the both terminals of the trigger .better to press L ~ completing the wavedash. also aim your control diagonal down .

To answer your question directly:

I always move the control stick. Straight down for the shine, then diagonally for the wavedash.

Like KSO said, do a shine on the ground, then wavedash. Don't worry about being fast at first Just Shine, then move your fingers over and do a wavedash. Then as you understand the motion necessary, try to speed it up.
