Wavedashing in Final Destination [3.5]

Has anyone else noticed in 3.5 that the double jump rings appear when a character does a perfect wavedash in Final Destination? This wasn't in 3.02 and Melee. I'm not sure if it's a mess-up on PMDT's end or if it's an added feature to Final Destination only, but it's pretty unappealing.
