wavedash help

when i wavedash my guy come out like hes coming out of the shied thus lagging up the guy and disabling comboing .. can someone tell me how i can stop the shield from showing?

Release L faster.

simple don't hold L/R long. although, the sheild may be useful as you can wavedash into/out of the shield as well as grab immediately.

that happens to me too

it takes a lot of practice. when I firtst learned how to wavedash i always went into the shield. You just have to remember to let off the l button and eventually it becomes instinct.
