ive heard a lot of people talk about this, and ive started to notice the lag, but only after my friends started complaining about it, so im thinking it might be a psychological thing :p

so is it true? do wavebird controllers really have a lag factor that is a disadvantage to players?

There is slight lag using the wavebird.
The bigger worry is running out of batteries or someone else using the same frequency as you during a tourny.
