Wave dashing

Is there anything similar to wave dashing in this game? I'm so used to wave dashing in melee that I try to do it in this game, so is there?

Well, there is perfect pivoting.

Recognize that both games are played differently and adapt accordingly.

The next thing closest to wavedashing would be perfect pivoting. Due to the changed mechanic of air dodges, theres seemingly no way to perform a wavedash like in melee. These two games are different so you shouldn't expect them to play similarly.

This. I can't imagine you try using the same techniques for every single game you play. Use the techniques appropriate for whichever game you're on.

Anyways, as mentioned, perfect pivots are probably the closest thing you'll get (or as Bowser you can use an aerial Dash Slash to very comparable effect).

There's no Wavedashing in League of Legends either, but you don't hear me complaining about how I'm gonna switch back and forth...

Actually there is something much closer to wavedashing in smash 4 than perfect pivoting, but given that it's a technique that I only recently discovered first, and that now only 4 other people in the world know about (2 of them my brothers) and all sworn not to tell a soul how to do it, you won't be finding out how to do it until after EVO when I post the video on how to do it.

Bowser's Custom 2 Side B allows him to kinda wavedash, although that is character specific
