Sadly I don't own a wii / brawl *yet*, so I can't really play as much as I would like(nor test this question myself).
I was thinking of maining ness/ alting lucas and stumbled something rather amusing last time I played as lucas. I didn't get a chance to test it afterwards but I asked my opponent if he was able to recover out of it or not and he swears no.

It's probably common knowledge but I can't find any mention on a guide and search function keeps giving me error >,>...

Basically, Lucas' fthrow sends the opponent smacked to the ground to bounce right? but I did the move relatively close to the edge and instead chucked him out and down, I was laughing pretty hard as how cheap that was (reminds me of Ness' fthrow to close border stages for those cheap instant kills). he was pretty far and very low by the time he seem to get back control...

So my question is, was my opponent just slow to react to get back on stage? or is there some stun time to make this situationally abusable?

yey first post ^^.

thx in advance.

No, Lucas' forward throw does not send them forward horizontally. It sends them more at an upward angle.

isn't this IF the guy getting throwed hits the ground?

I guess I was not too clear, let me try again :(

I was trying to say, I f-throwed them off the stage edge (not stage border for KOs) and missed the ground entirely making them shoot off stage with no upward momentum what so ever that would normally come from the opponent getting slammed into the ground...

Please note, I don't mean it for the throw to kill off people on close stage borders(that was for Ness), I meant to throw people off and down the stage in "regular" stages like say FD. I don't know the name of the actual stage we played on, but it was the one with annoying breakable platforms sitting on clouds.

And there's no way this isn't possible to do because I did it to twice on different people.
I just don't know if people can get out of it/recover fast enough for it to be abuseable...

thx again in advance

It won't be abusable regardless. But it may catch people off guard. One of lucas's many "this only works once" techniques.

aaw I guess its a fair assumption your saying my opponents were just slow to react from it~

oh well, I guess I'll just abuse until they react faster. ^^

thx.

Oh that cloud stage is a pain. I think its banned mostly for the fact that ledges disappear, and the platforms stun characters for some unreasonable lag.
