Moozle suggested I make a warstory of my recent battle on PO. I won one of their random tournaments they do and I have the log, so I'm going to paste it here with comments to the best of my memory about what I thought at what time, and the decision behind all of my choices.

To start things off I'm going to post my team so you guys know what I'm dealing with.

Borutorosu (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Mischievous Heart
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Taunt
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Of all the leads I've used in 5th gen so far, Boru was the first I tried and my favorite overall. The priority Taunt and Thunderwaves are absolutely crucial and completely ruins other leads. After that, this thing still packs a great punch with Tbolt and HP Ice, and it outspeeds many dragons that aren't scarfed and can HP Ice revenge kill.

Gliscor (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Protect
- Toxic

Gliscor is absolutely needed on 5th gen teams now in my opinion. Gliscor straight up counters two of some of the most overused Pokemon, Doryuuzu and Roobushin. Dory can not do a single thing to Gliscor at all, it's quite sad really. Dory can knock off his whatever (and popping it's balloon), then EQ as Gliscor takes no damage from Dory's anything, even after 1 or 2 Swords Dances. Gliscor works great as a physical wall in general and can help Toxic stall. Poison Heal works good on him and restores a good amount of HP each turn, and utilizing Protect with that works well as it also helps with Toxic stalling at the same time.

Roobushin (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Mach Punch
- Payback
- Drain Punch

Roobushin is awesome, that's all you have to know. You guys likely already know that, but who cares, I'll say it again, Roobushin is awesome. This guy Mach Punches like there is no tomorrow, and after a Bulk Up, as long as they have nothing that resists Fighting then it's pretty much gg.

Slowbro (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Oblivious
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Boil Over
- Slack Off
- Psychic

It's Slowbro, you know me. It's practically a given that I have one on my team. Everytime I don't have one my team is magically worse. He just works, and that's that. He's practically the same as my 4th gen Slowbro. Psychic is better used in 5th gen over moves like Grass Knot it seems. I'm debating switching his ability to Restoration since Dynamic Punch isn't used as much. Slowbro walls anything that is Fire or Fighting. Roobushin? Slowbro walls it. Blaziken? Slowbro walls it. Slowbro walls anything and everything. Except for anything with Toxic that is...

Garchomp (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Fang

Scarf Chomp. That's it.

Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic

As stupid and ******** and Blissey is, it's so freicken good. It negates 50% of the Pokemon out there, think about it. The only thing that sucks now is Mystery Sword and Psycho Shock. Other than that Blissey is fine.

My notes will be in Bold Orange

Django: yeah?
Hooler: winning agian i see
Django: hahah
TheAllu: Jipei!

Genosekt lead, I see them a lot. I don't really like staying in on Genosekt even though chances are they are going to U Turn which won't do much to me, it's safer to go with Blissey. I decide to switch to Blissey.

Start of turn 1
Django called Genosekuto back!
Django sent out Espeon!

Chibo called Borutorosu back!
Chibo sent out Blissey!

Ok so he's got an Espeon. That's really good to know early on so it makes me think twice about using status moves. Thankfully I don't use entry hazards so I don't have to worry about them bouncing back. My team isn't necessarily weak to Espeon, but I don't really have that good a way to take them out. Either way though, Espeon can't do anything to me, so I Seismic Toss. Either I take some health off, or I get going on a switch in. A Seismic Toss on switch in might remove a balloon or focus sash which really helps later on.

Start of turn 2
The foe's Espeon used Wish!

Blissey used Seismic Toss!
The foe's Espeon lost 29% of its health!

The foe's Espeon restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
TheAllu: Wuuuhuuuuu!

I don't know why he used Wish... No one else he had was low on HP and Espeon wasn't really in trouble yet. What it did let me know was that he wasn't interested in switching. However if he's looking to stall battle with my Blissey, I have another Pokemon it can't do anything to. I switch to Slowbro.

Start of turn 3
Chibo called Blissey back!
Chibo sent out Slowbro!

The foe's Espeon used Calm Mind!
The foe's Espeon's Sp. Att. rose!
The foe's Espeon's Sp. Def. rose!

Espeon's wish came true!
Quutamo is watching the battle.

It Calm Minds... Big deal. I do the same. I thought about him possibly Toxic'ing me, but if he didn't do it to Blissey, he either doesn't have it or wouldn't do it to my Bro.

Start of turn 4
Django called Espeon back!
Django sent out Genosekuto!

The foe's Genosekuto's Download activates!
The foe's Genosekuto's Sp. Att. rose!
Slowbro used Calm Mind!
Slowbro's Sp. Att. rose!
Slowbro's Sp. Def. rose!

Why Genosekt? The only reason he should do that is if it had Thunderbolt, which made me think he had it. Does he not realize UTurn won't do much to me? Either way, I want to see how much Tbolt will do to me or recover any UTurn damage. I use Slack Off.

Start of turn 5
The foe's Genosekuto used U-turn!
It's super effective!
Slowbro lost 144 HP! (36% of its health)
Django called Genosekuto back!
Django sent out Tyranitar!

The foe's Tyranitar's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!

Slowbro used Slack Off!
Slowbro regained health!

The sandstorm rages!
Slowbro is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Slowbro restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Lol ok, 36%. Geno's UTurn is clearly not something I have to be afraid of later on with Slowbro. I don't know why he would switch to Tyranitar though, did he think I would switch? I'm not scared though, as I doubt a Tyranitar would be able to kill me unless it used a banded Crunch. I also note that Genosekt likely doesn't have TBolt. I use Boil Over, because he's a Tyranitar lol.

Start of turn 6
The foe's Tyranitar used Stone Edge!
Slowbro lost 108 HP! (27% of its health)

Slowbro used Boil Over!
It's super effective!
The foe's Tyranitar lost 46% of its health!
The foe's Tyranitar was burned!

The sandstorm rages!
Slowbro is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Tyranitar restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Tyranitar is hurt by its burn!
Slowbro restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Lmao that's hilarious, I love Boil Over. I wish Boil Over did more damage, as that's after a Calm Mind, but it's fine. His TTar is ruined. Did he expect another switch and used Stone Edge for it? Either way, I know it's a physical TTar now, and since he is burned I can set up on him. No need to kill him yet. His TTar is so ruined I doubt he would switch. Calm Mind gooooo!

Start of turn 7
Django called Tyranitar back!
Django sent out Randorosu!

Slowbro used Calm Mind!
Slowbro's Sp. Att. rose!
Slowbro's Sp. Def. rose!

The sandstorm rages!
Slowbro is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Slowbro restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
TheAllu: Haahhaaaaa
Hooler: rand
TheAllu: Wtf?!

So he did switch... But to another Pokemon weak to Water... I don't get it. I wish I had Boiled Over but it doesn't matter. I'm not particularly worried. I wanted to see what he would do, and I was fairly certain I wouldn't die to anything he had so I chose Slack Off to restore anything he would potentially do to me.

Start of turn 8
The foe's Randorosu used Earthquake!
Team Testing is watching the battle.
Slowbro lost 277 HP! (70% of its health)

Slowbro used Slack Off!
Slowbro regained health!

The sandstorm rages!
Slowbro is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Slowbro restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Hooler: so close

Well that was more damage than I thought it would do... I barely survived. I'm not used to fighting Randorosu, and forgot about it's Sand Strength ability. Would it be choiced in this situation? Either way, Slowbro would probably die if I left it out, so I need to switch. He's going to use Earthquake again. He's not going to risk another move that's inaccurate like Stone Edge. I switch to Borutorosu.

Start of turn 9
Chibo called Slowbro back!
Chibo sent out Borutorosu!

The foe's Randorosu used Earthquake!
It had no effect!

The sandstorm rages!
Borutorosu is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Borutorosu restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Ok cool, Slowbro is fine. Now here is the deal. I am going to likely outspeed Rand. I only wouldn't if it is Choiced, but if it is Scarfed then it's EQ won't do anything to me. HP Ice will OHKO it, so I go with that.

Start of turn 10
Django called Randorosu back!
Django sent out Espeon!

Borutorosu used Hidden Power!
The foe's Espeon lost 27% of its health!

The sandstorm rages!
Borutorosu is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Espeon is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Borutorosu restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Espeon restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Switch to Espeon, which is ok. HP Ice got some damage off, I'm content with that. I'm not in any real danger here. I can attack with TBolt to kill it. The only way it will survive the next two TBolts is if it Wishes then Protects, but if it does that I'm not hurt so no harm done.

Start of turn 11
Borutorosu used Thunderbolt!
The foe's Espeon lost 47% of its health!

The foe's Espeon used Calm Mind!
The foe's Espeon's Sp. Att. rose!
The foe's Espeon's Sp. Def. rose!

Borutorosu is buffeted by the sandstorm!
TheAllu: Jipikajei!....
The foe's Espeon is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Borutorosu restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Espeon restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Espeon is weak. TBolt will kill it. He could switch to someone immune to it like Randorosu, but then I can kill it with HP Ice. I need the kill, so I go with TBolt.

Start of turn 12
Borutorosu used Thunderbolt!
The foe's Espeon lost 24% of its health!
The foe's Espeon fainted!

The sandstorm rages!
Borutorosu is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Borutorosu restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

Django sent out Randorosu!
TheAllu: Wuuuhuuu

Perfect, no more Magic Mirror shenanigans. Now I'm open to do that. But he's sending out Randorosu... Why? He should know I have HP Ice. He could be scarfed and outspeed me but idc. It's worth it to go for the ohko at this point.

Start of turn 13
Borutorosu used Hidden Power!
It's super effective!
The foe's Randorosu lost 100% of its health!

Django: yeah

Django: its pretty much gg now
Hooler: HP ice
Triathlon=Threesome stopped watching the battle.
TheAllu: HP ICE?

He stays in and he's not scarfed. I even tell him straight up in the chat it was a bad move lmao (sending out a non scarfed Rand on a non scarfed Boru). Now with TTar in the field I wouldn't be able to do anything to it. It's still burned, so I'm going to take this opportunity to set up. Time for Roobushin!

Start of turn 14
Chibo called Borutorosu back!
Chibo sent out Roobushin!

The foe's Tyranitar used Thunder Wave!
Roobushin is paralyzed! It may be unable to move!

The foe's Tyranitar restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Tyranitar is hurt by its burn!
Roobushin restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
TheAllu: Fun!
Chibo: didnt expect that...
Soul Proccer is watching the battle.

Well that sucks, I really didn't expect TWave on a physical TTar, or any TTar at that. I don't think I've ever fought one that has used it. I mean like, Roob is still a priority attacker, so it's not a huge deal. I'll roll with it though. I go to Bulk Up.

Start of turn 15
Django called Tyranitar back!
Django sent out Genosekuto!

The foe's Genosekuto's Download activates!
The foe's Genosekuto's Sp. Att. rose!
Roobushin is paralyzed! It can't move!

The sandstorm rages!
Roobushin is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Roobushin restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Hooler: DJango remember the reson T-tar will get move to ubers
Hooler: is it on your team
Django: it wont
Django: sand stream will
Django: or sand trhow
Hooler: yeah

This call was absolutely crucial. Genosket switched away from Boru at the beginning of the game. Why would he use him now? Does he have Psychic? Just trying to wall Roob in general? I go for a switch and choose Garchomp. I REALLY didn't think he would use Ice Beam. There was no real reason to. He didn't see my Chomp or Gliscor yet so he doesn't know of my 4x Ice weak Pokemon yet.

Start of turn 16
Chibo called Roobushin back!
Chibo sent out Garchomp!

The foe's Genosekuto used Ice Beam!
It's super effective!
Chibo: WOW
Garchomp lost 358 HP! (100% of its health)
Garchomp fainted!
Django: woop woop

The sandstorm rages!
Chibo: why would you ice beam
Chibo: i debated that the whole time
Django: because its the strongest move i have against roob
Django: and hitsboroturusu
Chibo sent out Borutorosu!

And so he did it. He actually ice beamed. I didn't expect it at all. I was so distraught at the quick loss of my Chomp even though I was still in an advantage. I mean like I was fine but like.... uhg. So ok, that's the first Pokemon I lost. I have plenty to pick from. Can't use Gliscor, I could do Blissey, Boru could use a priority Twave, etc. I want to scout what it's going to do, and keep safe. I coax it with Boru but then switch to Blissey.

Blissey is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Blissey restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Tyranitar restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Tyranitar is hurt by its burn!

So I guess he really doesn't want that Geno to be paralyzed, so he switched to TTar to absorb the paralyze since he's burned. But I did my double switch to Blissey so I was in a good situation getting him to get TTar out. TTar is still burned, and can't do crap to my Slowbro lol.

Start of turn 18
Chibo called Blissey back!
Chibo sent out Slowbro!

The foe's Tyranitar used Stone Edge!
Slowbro lost 48 HP! (12% of its health)

The sandstorm rages!

The foe's Tyranitar restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Tyranitar is hurt by its burn!
Slowbro restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

12% is good right? lol. Either way, still down some HP I wanted to get back to full health as much as I could soon so I slack off.

Start of turn 19
Django called Tyranitar back!
Django sent out Genosekuto!

The foe's Genosekuto's Download activates!
The foe's Genosekuto's Sp. Att. rose!
Slowbro used Slack Off!
Slowbro regained health!

The sandstorm rages!
Slowbro is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Slowbro restored a little HP using its Leftovers!

I've kind of got him in a bind now. His Geno can't kill my Slowbro sans crit, and he doesn't have any good switch-ins that I know of. With a SAtk raise on Geno I'm not scared of UTurn. I use Boil Over to chip off some HP and hope to burn it.

Start of turn 20
The foe's Genosekuto used U-turn!
It's super effective!
A critical hit!
Slowbro lost 272 HP! (69% of its health)
Django called Genosekuto back!
Django sent out Doryuuzu!

The foe's Doryuuzu is floating on a balloon!

Slowbro used Boil Over!

The sandstorm rages!
Slowbro is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Hooler: yeah
Slowbro restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Hooler: you have it
Django: gah

That was awesome. Not like I cared about the balloon part, but his Dory is done. Slowbro is still standing strong, but he'll die if I leave him out. I have the ultimate wall for Dory though, Gliscor!

Start of turn 21
Chibo called Slowbro back!
Chibo sent out Gliscor!

The foe's Doryuuzu used Earthquake!
It had no effect!

The sandstorm rages!
Gliscor's Toxic Orb activated!
Gliscor was poisoned!
Django: gliscor

Now it's really done lol. He's obviously going to switch, so I use Knock Off to get whatever item off of whatever he sends out, I was hoping for Genosekt.

Start of turn 22
Django called Doryuuzu back!
Django sent out Tyranitar!

Gliscor used Knock Off!
It's not very effective...

Gliscor knocked off the foe's Tyranitar's Leftovers!

The sandstorm rages!
Gliscor restored HP using its Poison Heal!
The foe's Tyranitar is hurt by its burn!

I didn't expect a switch to TTar. Doesn't make sense to switch a ground weak Pokemon on a ground weak pokemon against someone who likely has EQ. However like all times I can, I love stall. I want to see that burn damage kill TTar. Protect.

Start of turn 23
Gliscor used Protect!
Gliscor protected itself!

The foe's Tyranitar used Ice Beam!
Gliscor protected itself!

The sandstorm rages!
Gliscor restored HP using its Poison Heal!
The foe's Tyranitar is hurt by its burn!

Well I didn't expect that, I'm really glad I protected. I hate special TTar, I really really do. I can not let Gliscor die under any circumstances. I switch to Blissey to absorb the Ice Beam.

Start of turn 24
Chibo called Gliscor back!

I'm faced with a tough decision. Either I can switch to someone like Gliscor or Boru to take the UTurn, but he could surprise me with Ice Beam and kill either. Blissey won't die from the UTurn though, so I Seismic Toss to either weaken Geno if he stays out or get damage on something else.

But Slowbro died, should have realized that. Better to lose him than Blissey at this point now, who is now cured from Toxic. Game over though, now I can get Roob out end turn instead of a switch in. I Drain Punch as I'm not afraid of a Seismic Toss.

Start of turn 37
Django called Ditto back!
Django sent out Genosekuto!

The foe's Genosekuto's Download activates!
The foe's Genosekuto's Sp. Att. rose!
Roobushin used Drain Punch!
The foe's Genosekuto lost 64% of its health!
The foe's Genosekuto had its energy drained!
The foe's Genosekuto fainted!

The sandstorm rages!
Roobushin is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Roobushin restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Django sent out Ditto!

The foe's Ditto transformed into Roobushin!
TheAllu: gg

Now that Geno is dead his team has fallen apart and I finish off the Ditto.

Start of turn 38
Roobushin used Mach Punch!
Django: gg
The foe's Ditto lost 30% of its health!
The foe's Ditto fainted!

Chibo won the battle!
Chibo: Just as I expected...

Cool I'm happy to see that you did this :) Looks like Slowbro actually is useful. Do you feel like Iron Fist works better on that Roobushin set? It works better against things like Dory, but with Guts you don't have to worry about being burned and can destroy things like Burungeru. Also, I hate Genosekt.

Grats again on your win :)

My team is slightly Nattorei weak, so anything I can get on Nattorei is good seeing that Roob is all I have for him. Garchomps Fire Fang doesn't OHKO it. For Burungeru I would just use Blissey, it's a special attacker.

Goddamn it, how do you win these tournies seriously

I just did one and in the first round I get paired up with a guy up on the top of the ladder who predicted EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. OF. MY. MOVES. without fail. I swear, for 20 turns it was him predicting every single move I was about to make >___>

Congrats on your win though

Fuelbi if your opponent is overpredicting then you just have to predict their overpredictions.

You were obviously playing very predictable... Don't just go for the super effective attack every move.

If the opponent is over-predicting, then you should keep doing the obvious thing, so he or she keeps over-predicting.

Yeah, that's really bad advice.

Clearly you weren't playing outlandish enough. Or your team was too predictable. Or both. Probably both.

This does reminds me of a match I had against Matty on the day they released the suspect ladder for the Menceless metagame though. I did some pretty ridiculous plays vs his full stall team, and he managed to predict each one at just the right moment.

Granted, he had no choice. One wrong move on his part and his entire team was destroyed, and I could come at him from a few different angles for each one. Probably the most intense match I ever played, and he even said it was a great match. So I know for a fact that I wasn't just making retardedly obvious plays. I also know my team wasn't ridiculously predictable either.

I loved that team. :c I should remake it. Hey Riddle, if you see this post, do you remember what the original CEOLC team looked like at all? I forgot some of it.

EDIT: I have a couple nitpicks in plays by both of you, but I'm too lazy to post them right now. So you're safe. It mainly just deals with like, one specific turn though. So blah.
