Its simple to do, just pause it at the right time when you fly to the top of the screen on the Warp Star.

I found it by pausing it while riding the warp star as Mr Game & Watch, pausing it at just the right time while you zoom up high will cause the screen to zoom out. Pretty Neat, You can see the night sky of Bowser's Castle under the sea in the Paper Mario stage. Sorry if someone else has already found this.
