Apparently, Ness, Lucas, Yoshi and Peach can not DjC AT ALL.

We really need to start thinking about how the loss of this important technique will effect the character.

How is this important to Lucas at all? This is his first Smash game; he's not lost a thing.

It is also kind of important for Lucario, he is the new Mewtwo.

Oh well, now we just have the alternative of rising Fairs and stuff.

What buttons do you push to perform a raising Fair? I always tried to do it but could never get it perfectly.

Exactly. Lucas's entire moveset has been made knowing that DJC wouldn't be in the game. I've noticed with Lucas and Ness that their moves are improved enough that the lack of DJC shouldn't be fatal. Some of Ness's aerials recover faster than before, and Lucas ... Well, his aerial combat is just awesome to begin with. :)

Yeah. Now that I've looked at it, lack of DJC is really only bad for Yoshi. Ness has gotten faster, so he doesn't need the extra speed any more, and it does allow him to do some crazy things in the air.

It's amazing that the removal of something so vital to his playing style has just opened up more possibilities, lol.

Wow ... I've finally had the opportunity to play him, and it's amazing. DJC is not needed. In the air, I had amazing priority. All the aerial attacks have reduced lag, so I could do more of them per jump, and I always felt like I had an extra jump and an extra aerial attack to use. I was able to play Ness just like I did in Melee--minus DJC--except that EVERYTHING WORKED BETTER. I think the adjustment for Ness mains from Melee will come pretty naturally. I'm really happy with both Ness and Lucas in this game.

*wuvs them*

EDIT: Oops, seems I posted this in the Lucas thread. I was talking mostly about Ness above. Lucas's moves in the air seem much faster than Ness's, and I still feel the same about not needing DJC. I'm overall better with Lucas. The only problem I seem to have with Lucas is finding good killing moves.
