Hi Smashboards! I've been playing the Super Smash Bros. games ever since Christmas Eve 2006 and I found out about the competitive scene and this site through a Prima guide book back in either 2011 or 2012. Since then, I've been following all the upsets and other major happenings in the competitive Smash scene. I figured I'd been following long enough so I decided to make an account today. I've always wanted to go to a major Smash Bros. tournament, I attend local tournaments but they have weird rulesets (Swiss, four player, most stages allowed, and most items allowed) and I'm very dominant compared to most of them, a few of them give me a challenge, but not that many and my main rival (he's a nice guy, just in-game rivals because we are the two most dominant and he gives me the most challenge (even in singles)), a guy who calls himself Dollar Bill, is moving away to Canada, thankfully he helped me install Dolphin on my computer so I can play with him once I get a gamecube controller to usb adaptor. I'm hoping to go to MVG on July 26th and 27th so I can finally get a shot in the competitive scene. In Smash 64 I play Pikachu because he has everything I really want in Smash 64 (recovery, combos, etc.), in SSBM I main Fox because (NO! It's not 20XX) I like all the fast and technical gameplay with powerful attacks and amazing edgeguarding (Hint at how fast my gameplay is: I've beaten Battletoads (NES)), in SSBB I play Pikachu because I can actually pull off combos with him (he is also one of the few characters who seems like they are from Melee), fast, and other things that are also the reasons why I chose Fox in SSBM, also Pikachu was the first character I actually played as in both SSBM and SSBB. I'm sorry that this post was rather long for a first post. I hope to have fun going to tournaments and being a part of the community. Also, thanks for listening!
