I'm a huge Ashley fan, and since Smooth Moves came out for the Wii, I've liked Penny Crygor, too. So of course, wheels began turning in my head, and I came up with this. There are 2 different versions of this story, and you're reading the re-written, better version.
If you don't know who either character is, the most I can suggest is to do a PhotoBucket search. This story assumes that you know most of the WarioWare cast (or you don't really care about the minor characters in this story.)

Diamond City - WarioWare, Inc. Office Building
WarioWare, Inc. - Meeting Room
"That's it! I've had it!"
Wario screamed as he pounded his fist on his desk. He called his group of employees into his office because he was unhappy with his current profits. Of course, the group ignored him as usual - It's not like protesting would help.
"Wario, we're not making any money because we haven't released a game in about two years now." Mona said. "If you would decide on the console you want to use, we could easily get started on another game."
"Wa ha … I don't feel like thinking, that's Crygor's job." Wario said as he spun in his large office chair. Mona sighed, knowing that saying anything more would just prove pointless. Wario faced the group, a large grin forming on his face. "I have it! We'll just re-release every Microgame to be downloaded separately, and we'll charge a ridiculous price! I'll make millions!"
"Yo, man … That ain't gonna fly. I don't think technology's that advanced yet." Jimmy T. said, Wario ignoring him as well.
"Okay, I'm bored now. You guys are excused." Wario turned his chair away from everyone, motioning towards the large double doors with his hand.
"You're hopeless …" Mona said as the employees left, saying their goodbyes and heading down the exit hallway … All except three.
"Hey, Ashley … Can I talk to you?"
Ashley, Red, and Penny were still in the hall. Ashley and Red were about to leave as Penny called out to her. Ashley turned, looking annoyed at being held up.
"What do you want, Penny?" Ashley asked. Penny was shaking a bit, her cheeks becoming flushed.
"I need to speak to you … A-Alone." Penny replied, motioning awkwardly towards Red. Ashley looked down at the devil, who nodded in understanding and made his way down the hall, leaving the two girls alone.
"Okay, we're alone. What is it?" Ashley asked. Penny's face began to look even more flushed as she walked a little closer to the Witch. Ashley looked disturbed as she watched Penny approach her.
"I … I guess we're kind of friends, right …?" Penny slowly asked, looking away from the other girl and kicking at the ground. Ashley placed her hand on Penny's shoulder, causing her to look up.
"Sure, why not. Now please, what do you want?" Ashley asked, looking Penny right in the eyes. Penny was shaking even more, not speaking a word.
"I … I …" Penny tried, but couldn't speak a word. Before Ashley could reply, Penny pulled her close, hugging her close and forcing their lips together. Ashley's eyes grew wide as she was held in this embrace - Her first instinct was to pull away and become very angry, but for some reason she couldn't. Maybe it was because it was her first kiss? After another moment, Penny released her grip and backed away, looking terrified.
"Ashley, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I … I've had a crush on you forever now, and I didn't know how to tell you, so … S-So …" Penny was silenced by Ashley placing a finger to her lips. Ashley looked expressionless, as if she really had no idea what to say.
"Penny. For some reason, I'm flattered. I'm not into romance, though. Normally I should destroy you for this, but … I want you to come by my mansion this afternoon." Ashley said, nodding her head and turning away, walking from the room. As she watched her leave, Penny felt her legs begin to quiver.
"She … She invited me over?" Penny thought out loud, her face becoming red. She was worried that Ashley would reject her, insult her, and maybe even hurt her. It was very easy to remember why she was attracted to the girl in the first place:
It was a few months ago, at another WarioWare company meeting. Wario and Dribble were in an argument about the speed of the games being developed. Wario thought that the team should be able to release a game a week, while Dribble told him that was way too much labor, and practically impossible.
After the argument kept up for a good five minutes, it was apparent that the rest of the group was getting very annoyed. Just as Dribble was about to give Wario a punch to the nose, a red light surrounded the man and bulldog, lifting them from the floor and slamming them into the wall. Everyone turned to see Ashley standing on the table, wand in her hand. She sat back in her chair, nodding.
"Could we continue, please? I have better things to do than sit here all day." Ashley said. Dribble and Wario didn't speak a word to each other for the remainder of the meeting.
Penny couldn't understand why, but that made Ashley look a little cooler in her eyes. She'd admired the Witch before, since she had a vast amount of power and was the only one near her age, but this made her seem a little … Better. Of course, that would be a lame reason to fall in love. That day made Penny like the girl a little more, but it didn't cause her to love her.
Wait, why was she in love again …? For some reason, she couldn't remember. She just knew she had a thing for the magical girl with the long black hair.
She tried for hours to remember why she had a crush on Ashley, but the answer just wouldn't come. She knew before, that's what had given her the courage to confess to the girl, but … What was it?
"I should know this, I'm a scientist …" She thought out loud. "Oh well, it'll come to me eventually." She sighed. "I should probably get over there …" Looking around, she noticed she had never left the office's hallway.
"How long have I been standing here …?" She thought as she dashed outside.
Diamond City - Ashley's Mansion
"Ashley, I don't get it. Why are you letting someone come over, especially someone who … Likes you?"
Ashley had commanded Red to make the mansion look presentable for when Penny arrived, and the little devil had many questions concerning it. Ashley ignored every single one as she watched him dust, wipe, and clean most of the house.
"You like me, and I let you live here, don't I?" Ashley asked. Red slowly nodded. "So shut up and keep cleaning." Ashley said, Red sighing at this.
"Fine …" He groaned as he continued cleaning the dust off a table.
A loud knock echoed throughout the room - Someone was at the front door. Red looked at Ashley, whose face was slightly red.
"Go get the door." She said, pointing. Red nodded, running downstairs and grabbing the large handle, using all the strength he had to pull it back. Penny was standing at the doorway, her legs shaking and her cheeks slightly red.
"Oh, hi Red … Is Ashley home?" Penny asked. Red blinked, nodding and pointing behind him. Penny walked past him, looking around in amazement - She'd never been inside Ashley's mansion, and the place was huge! "This is amazing … Where's Ashley?" She looked at Red, who grabbed her hand and lead her upstairs, down a hallway to a door.
"Ashley, Penny's here!" He said.
Complete silence.
Suddenly, the door opened, and a hand grabbed Penny's wrist and pulled her inside - The door slammed behind her. A click was heard, signaling that the door had been locked. Red shrugged as he turned and walking away.
"I hope she doesn't reject her too bad …" He mumbled.
Penny gasped in awe as she saw the room she was pulled into - Ashley's bedroom. It was rather normal, actually - A bed with a white sheet and matching pillow, many black dressers with various candles, just normal bedroom things - Normal for Ashley, anyway.
"Please, sit down." Penny turned, seeing Ashley sitting on the edge of the bed. Penny nodded, sitting next to her. Ashley didn't face her, but Penny saw her cheeks were turning red. "I've been thinking about what you told me, Penny." Ashley said. Penny stayed silent, also looking away.
"You have?" Penny asked, looking over at her. Ashley nodded.
"Yes, I have. I told you I'm not one for romance, but … For some reason, I'd like to try this with you." Ashley said quietly. Penny's face was completely red - Did she hear this correctly?
"You want to … You want to be my girlfriend?" Penny asked, thinking that she'd heard Ashley wrong. Ashley nodded, turning to face her.
"I do … I've been thinking about you all day, and I like the idea. There aren't any boys in Diamond City that don't annoy me, and …" Ashley trailed off, staying silent.
"… You're not doing this out of pity, are you?" Penny asked, looking nervously. Ashley quickly shook her head, taking Penny's hand in hers.
"I'm not. I think I could see this working out well." She said, looking into Penny's eyes. Penny's face was still completely red as their eyes didn't move from each others'. Ashley slowly leaned forward, pressing her lips to Penny's and holding the girl in a hug - This time, it was Penny's eyes that widened. Instead of resisting, Penny accepted the kiss, holding Ashley close to her.
"… I was scared, ya know." Penny said as their embrace released. Ashley blinked.
"Why were you scared?" She asked. Penny shook her head, smiling and grabbing both of Ashley's hands.
"I was afraid of rejection. Now I can see that I was afraid for nothing." Penny said, smiling with a small blush on her cheeks. Ashley gave her a small smile, nodding.
"This is the beginning of a beautiful relationship."
