Wario-better on ground or in air?

This is a question I have been asking myself for the last week. My sister desperately wants to beat me in brawl. She mains Wario, and wants some tips on how to play him better. I don't know what to tell her (besides "stop spamming the god **** bike!").

Can you answer the question and a quick explanation?

Thanks in advance, all.

For the last 2 weeks i've been maining Wario, it has seemed that the air is his best freind. Doing a short jump and going into his down air often has helped me a lot since the move lasts a while, has a good area of collision, breaks the shield significantly, and if the move is ended early, you can go into another move instantly. His clap (up air) is also beastly. His other aerials are all pretty quick too.

If used right, the bike can also be good, if you use it in the right way. Jumping off of the bike to recover from a large hit, jumping off of it to combo into an aerial, and taunting off of it to make yourself look awesome are some uses i've seen for it.

Hope that helps your sis out to some extent. It may take her some time to get used to the big man, but it's definently worth it.

Wario is an aerial specialist. His fair is very weak, so it's perfect for leading into other attacks. The dair is a drill that has enough ending knockback that you can sometimes combo out of it. Dair to fsmash is great. Nair is a two-hit move that makes for a pretty solid approach into a combo, I think. The uair clap is freaking deadly, and will be his main killer in the air. His back air is a solid move with good knockback.

Also, bite. His neutral B is great for so many things. Seriously. Tell her to use it a lot.

Thanks again. She actually got me to one-stock in a 3-stock match since I taught her to SH. Now she has another question:

How do you get opponents into the air?

Some good moves for getting someone in the air are dair fair and utilt. uair isn't that bad to pop someone up in the air, but there are times where I save it for the kill or juggle with it.
