I used to be pretty decent at the game, I was able to play and win a lot, I put the game down for about a week or two in order to play other games and I was just getting burned out on playing smash all the time.

I decided to play online and kept losing all of a sudden keep in mind I'm a Joker main.

I started to get frustrated and put the game down once again to avoid letting the game ruin my mood.

I decided to start playing offline or with friends only but I don't have that many friends and my friend is much better than me so I always end up losing, I do win from time to time but I want consistent wins rather than occasional. not saying winning is everything but I find it frustrating when losing all the time.

I've noticed I've gotten much better with not rolling into smash attacks, but I still do it and I need to stop doing so.

I feel like I need a practice buddy in order for me to start getting better, maybe criticize how I play the game and then we can find a way to fix that so I can get somewhat better.

One of the biggest ways to improve in any competitive game is to try not to focus on winning as the end result, even if you said it's not everything. It's definitely rough, but you're better off focusing on improving in every match than winning any match. And if you're able to, save replays of your matches! If you're more tournament oriented, looking at footage of your matches is a better idea. Having others criticize you is definitely helpful, but you also need to be able to see your flaws without anyone telling you. It also helps to analyze the top players, or even just those around you that are better. See what they do and try to implement it on your matches in your own way.

In the end, you are going to be your biggest roadblock but also your biggest motivator if you choose to be. Hope this helped a bit, and I can offer more advice if you feel you need more!
