Smash Rookie
I've owned melee since i was 7 and played it for a few years. I revisited the game when i was 14 and have been regularly playing it now for the past 2 or so years. I introduced the game to a couple friends and have taught them how to play the game properly as i've seen all the majors since 2013, and went back and watched others prior to that. I feel like i'm at the stage where i can no longer improve from playing such a small group of people who don't play the game as much or as well as me. I'd like to start attending some local events, and am will to travel a few hours on the train if i have to to play others and see how i compare to others out there. However i haven'y a clue about where to start and what events run regularly for me to attend. I would appreciate any feedback on a good open event just to see how good i am compared to a wider audience and get more involved in the community of melee, and so Smash on the 3ds.
