Waluigi...an assist trophy?

As we all know Sakurai is pretty fond of the Mario characters, so is it just me or does it seem IDK WEiRD that he made Waluigi an assist trophy? Not to be some big conspiracy theorist but what does that mean for some other characters that alot of us were pretty sure we would see? Dark Samus? Dixie Kong? The list can go on and on. I know that he wasnt on the polls and not many here were really asking for him, but it kinda makes me wonder.

Uh, I don't think Waluigi was very popular, known yes, but liked, no. Thus he didn't want the majority to be pissed and the minority to be disappointed by making him an AT. I don't know what he'll do with the others you named, but Dixie doesn't stand much of a chance. And before he puts in Dark Samus, he'd put in Ridley anyway.

I think, regardless of whether the series is popular or not, a random filler character is still a random filler character. And a random filler character doesn't really deserve a roster spot.
