Wall Slide Tech?

So while playing a few matches I noticed that after going off a ledge with sheik, you can quickly cling to the wall and if you do it correctly, you slide down the wall, now this can be used to mix up opponents or to start edge guards, I have a video of it, though it is very poor quality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6j97W-NZFg

All you're doing is cancelling your wall cling. I guess it could be useful for better positioning an edge guard from a wall jump, but probably isn't necessary in most situations.
