Wall Jumping from the ledge without jumping

So i was practicing reverse double lasers from the ledge and i accidentally wall jumped shot a laser and the retained my jump. I'm just wondering how i did this because it was on battlefield and after dozens of attempts i cannot recreate it. I continuously keep using my jump in order to get the wall jump. Also i'm sorry i don't have a video of it... i was practicing i don't normally film myself during sessions xD

You don't need to have jumped in order to perform a wall jump, you just need to be close enough to the wall in question. And yeah, it can be done on battlefield, although its harder because you need to be very precise.

Anybody know what the precise inputs are to do this?

IIRC it's diagonal down and into the stage without Fastfalling, then the normal wall jump input of tapping away from the "wall", as there is a small "wall" where the ledge is. It's the same angle you need to hit for the pivot dtilt.

I think the release ledge to wall jump transition is super tight, especially on battlefield.

i believe this is called scarjumping
tilt the c-stick slightly downward to drop from the ledge
hold completely sideways towards the wall, then once u are brushed against the wall slam the stick the other direction to walljump
u use the c stick to avoid fastfalling, make sure have it down okay by being able to perform it on dreamland
scarjumping preserves your double jump

Pretty sure it's actually the Doraki Instant Walljump Glitch. Scarjumps are slightly different.
