Sakurai is trying his best, we want to get our hands on one of (if not the best) the best games of all time, and Masahiro Sakurai is trying to deliver, when there is a game this good being developed it takes quite a while to make.

I know it seems like a long wait, but this year has been passing quite quickly so far, it's almost ¼ over, and it could be a lot longer before SSBB's released, it seriously could understandably be a year or two longer, so be glad this great game will be coming out so soon as late 2007 when it's development just started in 2005. This really is pretty quick development.

Now we just have to hope they don't rush it (and I'm sure they won't I believe no SSB game has been rushed what so ever before), holding it back until late 2007 should be enough time, Masahiro Sakurai and his large staff dedicated to SSBB and it alone can get a lot done in over 2 years time on 1 game.
As I wait more, and it reaches later periods of 2007, I better understand more accurately why it has been pushed back several months and that there has minimal information released considering the period of time this most anticipated Nintendo title has been in development.

We'll see, later on in the year, that this is for the best, for all of us, and I think, knowing it's release is in 2007 is all we need to know, because Christmas Day is in the last 7 days of the year, so anytime of the year is before then practically, pretty much assured to get it that great December 25th 2007, as long as it is in stock in the store.

The such pleasant surprises you run into in the Super Smash Bros. games is the best, we really don't need that to be spoiled months before it hits store shelves, so in all honesty, we don't need anymore information (other than the exact release date, which the announcement will probably be quite a while from now, which is fine) before it's release. All the more to thrill us when we actually play Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

I hope E3 might show us the release date, or maybe sooner, but for sure, the release date would definitely be discuss at E3. Maybe then, we'll truly know. But, it was concluded that Brawl and SMG will be coming out as late of summer to fall, so just be more patience.

On Ryan Payton's Kojima Productions podcast, he dishes on how Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima played the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl at creator Masahiro Sakurai's Tokyo studio. According to Payton, Kojima said that:

"The game already feels very complete, it's already a lot of fun and that you guys (Sakurai's studio) could put it out now, and it would sell millions of copies."

Kojima was playing as Snake, Sakurai was playing as Mario. Yet, Kojima humorously admitted that he wasn't able to punch of kick the character he's grown up with, Mario — Out of respect.

The wait is almost over dude...this info came out April 27th...2007...3 days ago.

I don't think this year has been passing too quickly.

I also think it would be crazy to hold it until 2009. I don't know why you figured it might be 2 more years.

And weren't 64 and Melee rushed?

One thing most of us really do not know is how large Sakurai's studio is.
He might have double or maybe triple the team size that Melee had.
How do we know that even many developers from Konami are helping?
How about Sega? Capcom?
Think about it.. It really REALLY opens thoughts that this game might be bigger then we all think.. and that it could of been developed allot quickly then expected.
How do we know they aren't using the nearly perfect Melee engine? Why toss it in the garbage and start new when you already have a fully working engine which only needs some tweaks here and there?
Then you just have to add some new content, upgrade the graphics, and so on.

This should have been a post not a topic.

The game will come out when it comes out. Discussing it on the boards doesn't do anything. And just to clarify Sakurai is told he can say the game will come out in 2007; this does not mean it will come out in 2007.
