Olimar forums finally have a mod!

Congratz to Sudai!

Instead of an active member who has been here since almost day 1 and who has pleaded modship over the olimar forums for several months now, the person who just came here a week or so ago is now our mod. I didn't get it because I make jokes.

Also, we've got a lot of mods for the Oli boards. Look at the bottom of the thread page. There's about 10 mods listed. I'm glad we've got one that comes here frequently now though. Maybe there won't be as much spam... like this thread.

Other than hylian and samrai panda, who have only come here per my (or someone else's) request, which of those mods come here?
Ask Panda, I've been saying for at least several months now how each character forum needs its own moderator run by its own people.
It's for this reason why sonic mains and link mains (if not more, those are the only I know of) have practically left the smash boards.

Is there a specific reason why he got it and I didn't? Maybe I'm not the most qualified person, but I think our own people should be moderating our forums. I got an infraction point for making a joke about olimar's upair. A moderator who played olimar would get this and laugh, but some random person who knows nothing about us came in and gave me an infraction for spam, won't point fingers. It's probably because of that gesture that I couldn't get in (amongst having a sense of humor... mods should be hard core badasses who ban every legit person on their forums).

Fino, I don't disagree with you. I think we should have a moderator for the Oli boards that knows which threads to sticky, which to take down, which to lock, and for whom to give infractions and for what. As far as I'm concerned, Sudai is a respectable, responsible person to do this for us. He said he plays Olimar, and I'm glad he's been contributing to our threads- even if for only about a week now. Give him a break.

With that said, "having been here for a while" doesn't qualify a person to be a moderator. They have to be trustworthy and responsible among other things. If I'm not mistaken, he is/was a R.O.B. board mod. The super moderators have seen that he can do a good job (or at least haven't had any problems with him). That's why he got the position- not because he may know all about Olimar's ATs or how to play him. (My apologies if he is a great Olimar. I just haven't seen him yet.) Simply put, he just wants to help. And to help, he has to have showed that he can be responsible enough to do it.

These are OUR boards, not yours. Don't tell us how to do our jobs and who we should make mods. You're not in a position to worry about it. Sudai will do fine.
