This is regarding the Wii online play which is soon to come. Does anyone think Nintendo will include an aspect of communication with others similar to the headset and Xbox live?

Queens, dont ask for meetups yet
it seems all Wii'ers want to be just like big uncle Xbox Live, and I do too.

Yes, I do, like GAW said, but Nintendo will always think "what about the 30 year old man that wants the 13 year old boy to play brawl with him in real life? l-l-l-lawsuits!"

You'll most likely only be able to talk to people on your friend's list.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of too. Since Nintendo is more focused on younger players, unlike Microsoft, they are more cautious. That's why they use numbers as a way to play others online, and make it so that you only play people your "supposed to know". Hopefully they will make some sort of system that will allow you to play against others without knowing their wii number, similar to Xbox once again. Nintendo is probably afraid of the people who will talk "inappropriately". Even if you will need to use wii numbers to play people, you can always use Smashboards as an infinite amount of people to play against. That is soothing to know, and cuts back my fears of online play.

Srry, I mean friend codes. I don't have pokemon battle revolution so I don't exactly know the format of playing it online. It obviously can't be the format that all future games will use, because come one, its pokemon.

I don't know if you guys have already seen this, but

http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/01/wiimote-has-unused-voice-translator/

Heres the basic insert:

"The interesting piece includes a mention of an "audio translator" that "converts analog data such as human speech into a digital data stream." That may sound like a microphone, but it's really more of a microphone's brain ... and it's not being used."

Speculations, anyone?
