Do you guys and girls think that the Wii U version will support voice chat over wifi? It would probably only be with friends, but I think it could be really useful. I believe Sakurai stated that the loser of the match gets to decide the rules, so it might be essential to be able to communicate what is desired by all players. Thoughts?

I doubt it. I think if you want voice chat your gonna have to either call them or use skype.

I have a Wii U myself but since I've never used the app I'm not sure, but doesn't Wii U Chat allow you to talk while playing a game?

It will probably be like MarioKart 8 as to where you can talk in the lobby (only with friends) before the match begins. But you also have to remember this is with the WiiU game pad. And honestly who is going to be using that when a GCN controller is an option.

Depending on connectivity and load times though Im not sure you'll have much time to get anything said anyway. So as KaZe said, you might as well get a skype party ready.

Only with friends, would probably be fine with this. Dunno how the U handles all of that (don't have one), but however it works, hope it's GCN-friendly (even if I have to hold the Utablet nearby).

Voice chat would be great. But nintendo doesn't use in their games much it sucks. A mute option is a easy fix to any issues to voice chat. If there is a code of conduct i don't see why it shouldn't have voice chat.

Because Nintendo will always, no matter what, somehow keep their stupid overly protective kid-friendly attitude.

I think the way CoD has voice chat could work fine for WiiU. The benefit of getting to talk to other players heavily outweighs the con of sometimes running into trolls. If you don't want voice chat you can turn it off and not worry about it.

Since sakurai alleready said it was hard to get online to work in a game like this, i really really, doubt we'll get it.
And if we'll somehow get it, it would be local only. And i have no freinds who own a wii u

:( At least you can make some friends here to chat and play with! As for the difficulty implementing online issue, I think as long as it is only in the lobby (where I think it's more important) then it shouldn't affect performance. That being said, I also have never made a game.
