What are visual cues that you guys use to see what tech option people choose? I know spacies' animations and how they spread their legs, but that's it.

I haven't checked this out yet, but there is a tech chasing gaming available online for the computer and maybe the phone. I don't know the details of it exactly but I would look it up to see if it's any help

You're on the right track. Looking at the tech animations, frame-by-frame, and memorizing visual cues. Screen movement is also useful (no screen movement = tech in-place, no tech; screen movement = tech roll). Sort out what you're supposed to be looking for so you can follow a flowchart while reacting. Since you main PM Sheik, I'm assuming listing these out from Melee Sheik's perspective against a spacie will suffice.

Before/during D-throw animation:
1) Are there ledges to limit their options?
1) Are there platforms to aid their escape?
2) Are they still within jab reset %s?
3) Do they try mash out if you start pummeling at higher %s?

First actionable frame (FAF):
0) They just hit the ground once (as part of D-throw animation) and are now in the air.
0) On a side note, enabling rumble can help here. Use the vibration to indicate FAF.
1) Space according to DI.
-- "Maintain eye contact" lolol. Sheik should always be facing them.
-- Walk far enough such that jab/standing grab don't feel awkward.
-- Walk close enough to chase tech roll away.
~ Use 1-2 dashes (foxtrots or wavedash in-between) if they DI'ed far away.
~ Be fully prepared to wavedash back if you get too close or suspect tech roll in.
2) Are there any patterns in their DI?
-- Stage location?
-- Advantage/disadvantage?
~ Early/late game?
~ Stocks?
~ %?

Once they hit the ground:
0) Did you see/hear a tech animation?
A) Yes. Did the screen move?
1) No, Tech in-place. Grab them.
2) Yes, Tech roll in/away. Dash towards them, then boost/JC grab.
B) No, Missed tech. Are they within jab reset %s?
3) Yes, jab reset them. Did they go too high?
~ No. Grab them.
~ Yes, they SDI'ed. Jab and try get a regrab; if either are going to miss, F-tilt.
4) No.
~ U-smash them.
~ Jab reset them, but be prepared to power shield or chase roll.
~ Wavedash back. Gain stage control, charge needles, observe reactions/patterns.

I was asking if guys could tell me stuff like "Fox spread legs = tech in place". Thanks for the other stuff, but I already know about it. Gravy's tech chase breakdown with Falcon is also a nice resource for learning about this for anyone it concerns.

I actually wanted this stuff so I could tech chase with Pichu and Kirby instead of Sheik, though tech chasing is pretty much the same with everyone.

Did you actually follow Pauer Pauer 's link? The blog post links to an imgur gallery, showing all the fox tech/no-tech options. You could also just google for .gifs of them, if that's all you needed.

In terms of more specific visual cues, it's unlikely that you'd be able to consistently react in time to tiny details like Fox spreading his legs, which is why I offered the screen movement for tech rolls vs. tech in-place or no-tech as a good visual cue. The tech sound+yellow visual can also help I guess.
