So I have a virus, and it's literally blocking every site except for this one. An advice on how I can fix it?

I was dling some torrent stuff so i'm pretty sure it got in that way. =/

I'm running ccleaner right now, and having mbam and avast quick scan. However mbam was unable to update because it can't connect to the internet. Also there's something really odd with mbam cuz it's running very slowly and says that its not responding in the applications tab of the task bar. And the icon used for mbam isn't the normal one. Sometimes I see two MBAMs running in the applications bar, one with the real icon for MBAM and then one with this fake icon. And the one with the real icon appears momentarily and then disappears.

The quick scans are taking forever.

Help?

edit: So ccleaner finished with its registry stuff (i hope nothing got messed up). And my internet started working again. Also I reopened mbam, and it shows the real icon in the task manager now. So I guess there was something interfering with mbam. My quick scans also started running much faster.

You can never be sure to not have it somewhere hidden.

I used to get a ton from IE exploits and whatnot.

Your best bet is to restart the computer in safe mode. Than log in as Administrator. Right click on recycle bin to open up explorer. Than you can go into program files and your documents and look for something odd. Also be sure to run malwarebytes while your in safe mode. The virus won't be able to stop it from there. (If you need to update mbam, you will need to run safe mode with networking).
