Hi guys, just wondering is it possible to view replays on another device such as a computer without having to capture it?

Sadly, you can't transfer replays between consoles, so sooner or later, they will be rendered unplayable if any future updates are made. The best answer to keeping your replays safe is having a computer that has HDMI support, and use a program that records what the Wii U is displaying on your computer monitor.

Unfortunately, it's impossible. Replays aren't videos, they are simple files that reads the recorded inputs (and their timing), so they require the game's engine to be used. This is also why balance patches makes older replays obsolete, because it would create desync due to any sort of difference that was changed in the gameplay.

Buy a gamecapture card.

In case anyone's wondering, the reason they did this format rather than a simple video file is probably so that you can change the camera angle and take pictures and the like. That said, it would have been nice to also have Mario Kart 8-style YouTube integration. Who knows, maybe it'll be included in an update along with the sharing options.
