Hey All,

I was hoping to record matches on Kaillera. I tried hypercam but it resulted in a lot of lag. The server has a thing for recording that creates KREC files, but I don't know what to do with these. I did some searching and I found this step by step process:

"Once you have the KREC file in your recordings folder just

Open Mupen

Go to your Kaillera go to playback (Im using Sept 15 2007 version of kaillera)

Play your Krec File

Press Alt+F10

Save your file somewhere where you can remember

Use Full Frames Decompress to record. Even though the files becomes huge we are going to convert it later so it becomes smaller

Once your done recording it go to C:/Program Files/Movie Maker/Windows movie maker and just open up windows movie maker.

Drag and drop your movie file u just made into movie maker.

Make sure you see your movie on the bottom line aka your timeline.

Click on the file tab > click Save movie file

Save your movie file somewhere where you can remember.

Follow the instructions and wait until your new movie file is done."

However, this is three years old and IDK if it still works. I also can't find the playback part that he speaks of in Kaillera.

Help?

I'm pretty sure those instructions are fine, although I haven't used Mupen to record yet, but don't think it should be a problem.

For the playback, you need a P2P Kaillera client. You can grab one here: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=275895

If you already have a P2P client and just can't find the Playback section, it should be the third option in the drop-down menu where you choose server or P2P. It should look like:

1. P2P
2. Server
3. Playback

How to record well

Record using the record button on Owna's Client during a p2p or server match.

Then view that video in the playback setting

Record that video with screen record software (I use fraps which works well)

Yeah, agree with the two members mentioned above. But I use something different to record video from computer screen. The one I used can help me capture whatever on my screen with high quality, and also help me save the recordings to standard WMV video format file, so I can replay it with ease. I always use it to help me record starcraft games when I was playing, and I will show it with my friends, they all say the video is cool.

Can someone confirm this?

Also, when I tick the option to record online play either from P2P or a server (From Owna's client), the files never show up under Playback... ever.

I've tried ticking it before the client starts, before the actual game starts, and before the actual match starts. I've tried redownloading the client but nothing.

Any advice?
