Hey there! I have gotten into melee recently. I played smash 4 for a while but got frustrated with the lack of techs so I got into melee. I didn't really have anyone to play with but I got back into it cause I just got 20xx finally. Anyway, my question is how do you dash out of an air? I feel like there is some really easy solution so sorry for the dumb question but thanks for any help!

If I'm reading this right, you L-cancel and smash a direction to either dash forward or backdash asap. Basic but important.

Okay thanks. For some reason whenever I do an aerial I don't dash after I hit the ground but I will mess around with it.

Just keep trying to get the timing right after you L-cancel. Different aerials have different L-cancel lag, and you obviously have to make sure you're getting the cancel each time.
