Vandalism. Everyone's seen it, and you could say it's part of our everyday lives. The school desk you sit at covered with doodles and vile language, bus benches scribbled with crude graffiti, and pretty much every public thing imagined.

This type of vandalism is something I saw on a day to day basis, but I always scoffed away, looking at it as nothing short of someone with too much time on their hands. Vandalism never bothered me. It wasn't until a friend of mine's car was recently damaged that it really got to me. What had happened was someone threw a coffee mug at my friends car (from what seems like a drive by, because of the angle and the fact that the mug shattered to a million pieces).

My friend very recently paid off his car, and had it in the shop for a really long time. Finally getting it out the Friday before the previous, he has to bring it back to the shop, and costing him a lot of money in the process (We don't know how much it'll cost. If anyone who's familiar with this and can give a rough estimate, that would be awesome.) It's also a cobalt ss if anyone cares.

Now, obviously this stuff happens everywhere, but I live in a fairly nice neighborhood in a really small city, and for this to happen outside the city's ghetto is surprising to say the least. I guess this is one of things that you don't really care much for until it happens to something that's precious to you or your friend. I donno, I was really pissed when I saw it, and you can expect my friend was cursing till he was blue in the face.

What can I say? People are *******es who think that their fun won't affect anyone. That really sucks for your friend, especially since he just paid it off.

I hate it when people vandalize things. It's nothing more than a pathetic act to try and get attention, usually by winy middle and high school students. Sorry to hear about your friend's car, poor guy just paid it off too.

Man, that sucks :/

Yeah, people do lots of stupid **** "because they felt like it at the time" that causes others tons of grief, and they don't care.

You just don't vandalize other people's cars. John Travolta taught me that in Pulp Fiction.

I know where you come from. I live in a neighborhood that's shaped like an oval - I live on in interior part of the oval and there are houses on both sides ( houses - street - houses - houses - street - houses). Hard to explain - anyway, it's a good neighborhood but one day my car tires and side view mirrors were slashed and battered. It pissed me off royally. Worst part - my bro left to pick me up from middle school at the time. When he came back, this **** happened. We literally missed it by 5-7 mins. If I ever find the people that did that I'd slit there throat... No, I really would. I'm a nice guy till someone does something personal - I'm sure you'd have a hard time containing yourself too :)
