When i play, I can't slide from one button to another easily because there's a lot of friction and I can' get to the button in time. Would putting some kind of liquid help this, and if so, what liquids.

I would love more grip. Sweaty hands is such bull****. Grip=control
Yeah but you only need you pinky ring index middle finger and left thumb for control, your right thumb pushes a lot of buttons fast and and doing techniques like multishining (non-claw grip) falco double-laser at ledge etc. are hard to do when there's so much friction because you can't slide fast enough. The reason why sweaty hands are hard to play with are because your whole hand (all the non-right thumb fingers) are slippery

... well, I don't know why you want to do that lol. It will get all messy.

You can try silicon lubricant if you wish, but it smells pretty bad. It won't damage your controller.

I wipe some greasy part of facial skin with the tip of my thumb before playing and then do shdl motions after to make buttons slippery. That way it's easy to target exactly the parts of the controller you want, and there's no need for artificial lubricants.

I usually put a small amount of synthetic valve oil on the face buttons of my controller, specifically hetman #12 (other thicknesses might work though, haven't experimented that much). When it's normal temperature the synthetic just dries up and leaves the buttons feeling nice. In the winter when your hands don't sweat, you won't need to use very much at all. Sometimes when it's really hot out, I have no choice but to make the right side of the controller really slippery, but slippery is way better than sticky.

Sweat/grease from your body will kind of allow you to slide your thumb, but in more of a sticky way. It's not a consistent solution.

Don't know about that, works well for me. Why do you think it's not consistent?

You can't predict when and how much you will sweat, but if you have a bottle of oil that makes the controller feel the exact same everytime you pick it up, you've eliminated a random element. If my thumb clings to the x button for 1 frame, that could result in death for me. If I put one drop of oil on my thumb though, it guarantees that I will be able to slide off every time for a long time and I won't have to think about it again for another few sets. Honestly this is no problem in the winter when my hands are super dry and there's no friction at all. I was thinking of finding some kind of coating for the surface of the button, but at the moment this is the best solution I've found.

tauKhan never referred to sweat. Sebum production doesn't vary that much from day to day.
That could be true, but it doesn't really have anything to do with a situation where it's really hot and your thumb starts sticking to the y button during a match. Like, if you're sweating so much that the controller feels totally different than normal.

I just leave my controller completely unlubed aside from the natural finger oils... My fingers are big and my grip naturally has my thumb laying over both A and Y, so I only have to move my thumb down (or roll my thumb down, depending on if I've used a shoulder button in the past second or so) a little to hit B and I don't slide my thumb across the controller to get to the C-Stick since I take my thumb off completely.
