Okay, so I understand most of what I need to do, but after I download and unzip the BRSTM files, and try to run the program after unzipping it to the Desktop, nothing happens other than the folders just pop up on the screen, and nothing else will happen involving the program. Is there something else I missed? I am using the standard free WINZIP program which has worked well enough for me before in the past. So, would you be kind enough to help? I'll be adding to this as we discuss how to get through this first dilemma.

What 'program'? Brawlbox? But the bigger problem at hand is that you're trying to open BRSTMs. Adding BRSTMs to your game simply requires you to rename them to the proper song slot after acquiring them.

I was told to just download a program called "BRSTM", I'm fairly certain that's incorrect but I'm just going by the Allisbrawl guide - even though it might be off, since it's for Brawl specifically. But, oddly enough I just went back to check it and it's all been re-written. Oy, here's hoping my head isn't messing with me again.

@ Xermo Xermo Sorry for not responding earlier - so other than audacity what are all the programs I need?

Making brstms from scratch will require audacity or any other audio editing software (I use goldwave personally), and the brstm converter itself, which the best 2 around so far that I reccomend are brawlbox or BRSTM Manager. I've made a tutorial on youtube explaining how to loop/create brstms if you want to look that up (video author would be Karton Morex). Otherwise simply open your audio file in audacity, export as a .wav file and open that in brawlbox -> convert.

If you download a premade brstm from say, brawlvault or brawlcustommusic, you'd rename the file so that it corresponds with a song slot in-game. I'd link you to that list, but I'm on mobile.

Whenever you have the time - besides I was just going to convert some music I have to the proper format then put it in.

After acquiring the proper programs, of course.
