Using 3ds controlls for WiiU

why is it so frowned upon? i feel more comfortable with the 3ds because its what i started with. idk why people look down on it, its not about the tool, but how i use it right?

I think most people see it as an inherit disadvantage because of lack of c stick(unless you have the one with a c stick). 3DS controls felt clunky to me but if you can make it work don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Everyone has their own suitable controllers, although many people think GC controller is the best is because of Melee, a Smash bros game that attracts the competitives. Now there are new players like other other controllers, like the Wii U pro etc.

I think that the reason Smash 4 gives so many controller options is so that we can smash the way we want to. Because of this just play with whatever you are most comfortable playing with. I have friends who use gc, 3ds, wiimote, pro, and gamepad because it varies from player to player
