Use of non tippered dair?

So I did a failed Ken combo where I didn't hit with the tipper just now and was able to l-cancel the dair on the stage and directly follow up with a tippered f-smash. I was wondering if a non-tippered dair can be used as a mix-up in any situation. Seems like a good way to surprise some of my cleverer opponents but haven't found any situations yet where a tipper isn't better. Any suggestions?

Someone more knowledgeable please correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't think of a situation in which you'd want the weak hitbox on stage (you'd never want it off-stage, obviously) that has a result that couldn't be achieved with something more reliable. However, it would be beneficial to experiment and know what you can react with in situations where you unexpectedly get the weak hitbox.

It's not useless, but there's not really a reason to use dair if you're not getting the spacing right. His other aerials cover just about as much aerial and are a lot safer to use on stage because they have less lag.
