USB to Firewire adapter?

Does anyone know where I can get an adapter that will allow me to connect USB and Firewire together, to have USB on one side and Firewire on the other? I would appreciate this help, because my camcorder quality is crappy because I only have a USB cord, and my tower does not have a Firewire port. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure there isn't an "adapter" per se, because they are incompatible standards. Probably the best option is buying a firewire card for your PC.
