This is more about the wii itself than PM, and I'm only posting this here since this forum is alive unlike Melee's.

Is it possible to revert to playing GC discs again after installing USB Loader (or whatever it is you need for 20XX), and is FAT32 SDHC incompatible for it?

Both Nintendont and Dios Mios allow you to play from discs. Just set the loader to "MIOS" for the games you want to play from discs (it will already be this if you're using Dios Mios). Using a USB loader doesn't prevent you from playing Wii discs either.

As far as I know USB loaders work with SDHC cards. (can confirm for USB Loader GX at least)

Ok, because I went to 2 tutorials, and they both basically said "once you install this, your Wii can't play Melee from the disc, you need to load it from your external drive". I didn't get very far, and I gave up because of that. But if you say it's all good then I'll take your word for it and keep trying. Thanks.

Edit: Hypothetically, if something did go wrong and I actually couldn't play disc Melee, is it reversible? (I was using a tutorial that has me use Dios Mios, and still said the "no discs" thing)

Yes, you can install Dop-Mii and use that to reinstall the stock MIOS from the Nintendo update servers. Though the current version of Dios Mios (2.11) does allow for disc loading, so the tutorials you're using sound like they're slighty out of date (most of their instructions about installing should still apply though).
