Kio Iranez
Smash Ace
Like the title says, I'll be playing Brawl this weekend. I'll write down anything anyone wants to know about Ganon and report my findings this Saturday at about 10PM EST. General questions are good too, though the person with the game might not have all the characters.
List of suggestions
Warlock Punch (Neutral B)
-How long does it take compared to Melee?
-Is it the same in the air?
Gerudo Dragon (Side B)
-useful recovery?
-are you helpless after one in the air?
-how far does it go?
-Ganoncide? Is it escapable? If not, who dies first?
Wizard's Foot (Down B)
-More/less/same priority? And in the air?
Miscellaneous
-Super Armor?
-Does the decreased knockback on spammed moves cripple Ganon's metagame?
UPDATE #1
Shin, a great Ganon Melee player, has graciously answered most of the questions here in this thread: http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=142968
Now, what I'm mainly going to look at are the Miscellaneous questions. I'm also going to test out Sonic, Captain Falcon, Sheik/Zelda, and Link (mains of my crew members), so if you're interested, I'll later link to separate threads.
UPDATE #2
HOLY SNAP!
This game is freakin' awesome. May not be Melee, but that doesn't stop it from shining on its own.
As for Ganon, I did not see any super armor on attacks, though I don't think he needs it. Most of the battles I played had to be free for alls, and Ganon was a monster in all of them. Warlock Punch is much faster and can be used easily then.
As for the knockback depletion of spammed moves, this doesn't affect Ganon as much as most other characters 'cause he's already kick@$$. He can KO with many moves.
Sadly, I only played two singles the whole time. Ganon truly is the new Bowser. His jump has some starting lag, like Bowser, though if you play smart, you can be the next Gimpy. =D
For all other info, check Shin's thread in Update #1.
