Like the title says, I'll be playing Brawl this weekend. I'll write down anything anyone wants to know about Ganon and report my findings this Saturday at about 10PM EST. General questions are good too, though the person with the game might not have all the characters. :p

List of suggestions

Warlock Punch (Neutral B)
-How long does it take compared to Melee?
-Is it the same in the air?

Gerudo Dragon (Side B)
-useful recovery?
-are you helpless after one in the air?
-how far does it go?
-Ganoncide? Is it escapable? If not, who dies first?

Wizard's Foot (Down B)
-More/less/same priority? And in the air?

Miscellaneous
-Super Armor?
-Does the decreased knockback on spammed moves cripple Ganon's metagame?

UPDATE #1

Shin, a great Ganon Melee player, has graciously answered most of the questions here in this thread: http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=142968

Now, what I'm mainly going to look at are the Miscellaneous questions. I'm also going to test out Sonic, Captain Falcon, Sheik/Zelda, and Link (mains of my crew members), so if you're interested, I'll later link to separate threads.

UPDATE #2

HOLY SNAP!

This game is freakin' awesome. May not be Melee, but that doesn't stop it from shining on its own.

As for Ganon, I did not see any super armor on attacks, though I don't think he needs it. Most of the battles I played had to be free for alls, and Ganon was a monster in all of them. Warlock Punch is much faster and can be used easily then.

As for the knockback depletion of spammed moves, this doesn't affect Ganon as much as most other characters 'cause he's already kick@$$. He can KO with many moves.

Sadly, I only played two singles the whole time. Ganon truly is the new Bowser. His jump has some starting lag, like Bowser, though if you play smart, you can be the next Gimpy. =D

For all other info, check Shin's thread in Update #1.

Gerudo Dragon. Is it useful for recovery? Does it allow you to use an Up+B after that? Does it give you an extra jump? How far does it go?

If you use Gerudo Dragon on an intercepting enemy off the stage, will you grab them and kill yourself with the other player? (like kirby's throws of the edge) And if so, if you both have 1 stock, who dies first? i.e. who wins?

Also, how bad does the decreased knockback when spamming moves affect Ganondorf? How much does the knockback decrease, and is this noticeable, or do you just use so many moves in a normal fight that you don't even notice?

Oh, yeah, can Ganondorf still be knocked out of his down B easily? And does he have more priority overall?

No super armor... that's weird, since Ganondorf:
1) is heavy
2) wears a real armor which should help him not to flinch

But hey, I guess Saky *really* wanted a new Bowser... >_>

Edit: that "no super-armor" thing really bothers me... it's not even a question of balance here, I think it's just common sense! Ganondorf is slow, heavy, *and* wears a friggin armor! Why wouldn't he have some frames where he's not flinching?! :(

Edit 2: **** am I ungrateful. That's still an update, so thanks for the info Kio! :)

I wonder if ganondorf really needs spammable moves. I think we should play him by using a ton of different attacks instead of just pure spam.

Warlock*G: You're right about Ganon needing the armor, though don't forget, there's still priority and hitboxes. I didn't really get to play too long (or pay close enough attention) to see if any moves have really high priority, but I noticed I was getting a lot of hits in, so his hitboxes are still great. >;D

flashfox: That's the truth, alright. It seemed to me like I had more choices between moves when I needed one, so the decreased knockback might not be important in that sense, too.

Yeah, it seems like maybe ganon might just be a tad bit more unpredictable, if some of the moves become interchangeable in usage.

I looked at a bunch of videos closely (since that's all I can do) and all I thought was: "how can you **** up a character so much". Seriously.

I mean, no super armor, when he's *the* character that would most logically have it besides Bowser?

Let's make a list of all the characters that have known super armor:

Wario
Bowser
Ike
DK
Charizard
Dedede
Lucas (!)

Lucas, for Christ sake. He's got super armor on his up smash because, guess what? It's slow.

I guess I'll stop here.

How can you **** up a character so much... :/

I really should organize everything together in that thread of mine.
I'm thinking of making a Beginners guide soon.

I might need some help, i'll ask for it later from everyone actually. I think this time around (looking back at my old ~How to Wield the Triforce of Power~ guide) It could have been better if the community had more of a say in it.
Open door policy or something like that. Make the best guide for everyone to enjoy (newcomers and oldies).

Why do this? You look at a tree, you see the tree through your eyes, somebody else looks at the same tree, they have a different description. Through knowing how others view the world, you can see more of the world yourself.

I Dorfacided Lukas yesterday, and I died first, he won.

How do we wana say this anyway? Ganocide or Dorfacide? Dragmired? HAh1 Dragmire, dragging you to hell with me -cackle-

Sounds like a good idea, Shin. A joint guide could be best. If you need help, you can ask me anytime.

Also, I like Dorfacide. It has a certain ring to it. xD
