You think that with the customizable controls, you will be able to turn off jump on up smash? I think this would really help out with those who use x/y to jump with getting up tilts and smashes off easier. What do you think; Yay or nay?

Big time YAY! Accidentally jumping with the stick is my biggest problem with up tilts, so having the option to remove it would be a big help. Also, it's nice to have it optional, so people who use the stick to jump won't be left behind.

instead of complaining about it how about you practice it, its really not that hard, you tilt your controller slightly, its not hard at all its rather simple after you practice it long enough

Or we could just have more options, which is never a bad thing.

Really is it that hard to do an up tilt or upsmash while running for you guys, like i said its fine as it is, just practice and you won't complain about it much, picture it as you practicing Lcanceling which is necessary for Tournament Play which unless you're Noobs you won't understand and like i said PRACTICE instead of complaining

...I don't see anyone complaining.

Once again... More options are never a bad thing. Jeez.

It'd remove some of the skill required in doing certain things but at least people would have one less reason to john, I can't recall how many times I've heard people say 'I mean to up tilt/smash'.

I'd prefer it for stuff like trying to do a short-hop up-aerial (say, Fox) and you don't wanna double jump. I should use the c-stick for aerials more... as that kinda solves it if you're comfortable doing c-stick aerials. I've always used A, so I don't have a ton of practice using the C-stick on a regular basis for aerials.

Also, not all Brawl Controllers will have a C-stick, unless it's implemented differently (aka: motion).

I'd prefer to leave Up on the stick as a jump, simply because I'm hoping jump canceling stays in the game. So much easier to JC grabs an USmashes with the stick. It's not like UTilts are really hard either?

It seems good at first, and then I realize that it's really not that hard and the pro outweigh the cons of up2jump

Pros:
Easy JC Shines to double jump whatever
Easier ledgehop Uairs
Easy Up-B from shield
Easy JC upsmash/Shine>JC upsmash

Cons:
May occasionally jump>Uair/Nair instead of Upsmash.

Seriously, it has nothing to do with uptilts at all. If you're tapping it hard enough to jump, you would have done an upsmash instead of a tilt anyway.

As an X/Y jumper, I sure do hope so. It could help you control your aerial fights a lot easier.
