I dont have an option to delete this thread, maybe the mods will delete it at some point

Were these done with early hit or the late hit of the dash attack? When you say 6 upairs, do you mean dattack->upair->land->rest of the combo?

Nice work. I can help you with some rage %s if you want. Even though generally they are just minus 10% if you have 100% rage and minus 3% or 4% if you have 50%

Most of these percentages are done using the last few frames of the dash attack to connect, which sends the opponent straight up into the air instead of forward which makes it easier to combo and follow their DI
It also sends the opponent a little higher giving you a little more time to react
There are a few higher ranged percentages which connect with the first few frames of the dash attack, but they are rare

and I dont really know what you mean by land? Theres no need to land during the combo, you can get 6 upairs without landing when specified

Sure I dont mind, I didnt calculate rage into the equation just because it doesnt affect the percentage too much unless youre at like 100 or higher

I just haven't connected six uairs to upb even in training mode without landing, because I try to make the combo easier by jumping before upb

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g41FSDCXDpI this video may help you learn how to perform the combo
I still think people who slide from Y->A for uair strings are really hindering their potential like shown in the vid. Setting a shoulder to jump and using c stick is optimal in almost every single way. Hence, why Abadango is the God of the combo and almost never drops it.

I heard Ito had a proper video on the uair combo itself? I can't seem to find it. Sometimes the combo is easy, other times you really have to be precise. There should be a proper video on the combo itself for newer MK players since it is vital to MK's game.

I'm new to MK, and I play on the 3DS. I can't seem to do it at the easiest percentages. I also watched the video on Conradical's channel. I;m guessing for some of them (e.g. duck hunt) you need to fast fall the first few? Or perhaps I'm doing it wrong?

The MK boards seem pretty dead unfortunately, I imagine uair combos to be harder on the 3ds. But yeah, sometimes you gotta fast fall one or two and sometimes on the last uair you have to wait. Instead of jumping and attacking at the same time, jump (reach apex of jump) then uair for the final uair. You have more hitstun than you think, so put a decent bit of time between them.

That's what I do often, and I hit with the front or back of up air until the last up air, which I try to hit with the middle. Then I jump and shuttle loop.

I honestly have not tried them on the 3DS versions but all of the easiest percentages work with no fast falls or timing
Make sure you hit with the very end of the dash attack so the opponent goes straight up in the air, this makes them go a little bit higher than hitting with any other part of the dash attack

Also don't jump before you shuttleloop

This is a game I recorded on for glory against a Cloud player who got up air streamed at 29% with 5 upairs and then shutleloop, even though he DI'd well I was still able to follow it and perform the combo to death

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RHOD5gS6qV8 starts at about 35 seconds

^Disagree with the not jumping before shuttle loop. You hit with the better part of shuttle loop which can kill earlier (or cases where it would not have killed) and also it makes hitting the full shuttle loop more consistent. Without jumping before it I've had people only get hit by the first part of SL lots of times.

Definitely jump before shuttle loop

I have never jumped before the shuttle loop when performing the combo, the opponent will always be in the perfect spot for a shuttle loop sweet spot if you perform the combo correctly, plus jumping gives them time to airdodge

Sometimes it's fine to not jump first, but lots of times you need to. For example, when doing the uair string and having to delay your last uair, by the time the last uair is done MK's momentum will be going downward so SLing with out jumping first will often lead to just SL1 and not both hits, meaning not getting the kill. You don't have to do this if your opponent is in range of the last uair without delaying it. You also hit with the better part of SL by jumping first.

If you do it right and fast enough, they cannot airdodge it. There is really no reason not to jump first, unless obviously it''s a 6 uair combo where you don't have another jump.

I apologize if this has been done before but I wanted to share my research with all my fellow Meta Knight players
All testing was done in training mode so no rage is calculated into the percentages
Stage was always omega duckhunt because its ceiling is average height
All combo testing was started with a dash attack and ends with an UP-Special to kill of the top
These numbers are based off of what I was able to do CONSISTENTLY, in other words 90% of the time I was able to perform the combo and kill without problems. There may be and probably are other percents that the combo can be used at but this list contains the EASIEST and MOST RELIABLE percentages at which to perform the combo
Some of the characters may require special pauses or faster inputs just because each character is unique but for the most part the combo works the same on all characters, It is best to test against every character so you become familiar with how to effectively combo that character to death

I will add more characters if people are interested

This list in now obsolete because of patch 1.1.5. I will be updating it however for the new 1.1.5 patch soon

don't bother, you can di out so easily that they'll never work on anyone competent

Yep this patch pretty much killed MK. All other top tiers that were nerfed are still top tier. Way to go Sakurai.

They could've just changed DA slightly so you could only death combo from up tilt and reads in the air and he'd still be top tier but nerfed.

I've lost faith in MK now and I'm really salty

Ive noticed that depending on which way they DI you can follow up with a forward or backair for potential horizontal kills out of the string

I recommend you make death percentages that end with shuttle loop using 1-3 up airs, as you can follow DI for those.

I like how some people are saying MK was killed and this combo wont work on anyone competent when Tyrant just won a tournament over the likes of Void, Mr. ConCon, and K9 earlier this week.

Well, the combo is pretty much dead, but Metaknight is still a very viable character
