Unlocking Ganon

Trying to unlock Ganon and everywhere I have looked says you beat classic mode with Link and I have done so like 4 times and Ganon still hasn't appeared.

Does it have to be a certain intensity with Link or do you need to have a certain score?

Try 6.0 or higher. I unlocked Ganon directly the first time playing with Link.

According to the Prima Guide (and reddit) it has to be at least 5.0 difficulty.

I got him at 80 matches.

I didn't ko him in the match to unlock him though, I unlocked him thanks to Kotake's ice, so dirty unlock ftw!

That's what prevented me from unlocking him the first time. Too excited to pay attention to the background apparently.
