Unlock Mewtwo, Dixie, Ridley, Chorus Men by Linking 3DS to Wii U Version (Rumor)

Take this with a grain of salt but someone said that the person who tipped off the leak images of Shulk and the others, had reported that he has seen, chorus men, dixie kong, and ridley in action and they will be unlock-able through connecting 3DS Version of the game with the Wii U. I won't say its far fetch but I recall that there will be some type of connectivity between the two from what Sakurai said through previous interviews. I'm not saying this is true but I can see Nintendo pulling something like this but they would probably make the characters purchasable through DLC. This was something similar to what Capcom did with Street FighterxTekken for PSP Vita, the Vita version included all 12 new DLC characters and if you purchased that version you were able to unlock all of the characters on your console version but if you didn't want the Vita version you could just purchase them through DLC.

Wouldn't be forcing to buy anything, I am pretty sure that Nintendo would use this method for players who are buying both anyway and I am sure they will have the option purchase them separately.

I heard that when the Wii U version comes out, the 3DS can be used as a controller for that version. With something like this, do you think this could make the transferring between both versions a bit more likely? Sure, this is just using the 3DS as a controller, but hey...

Not really, it just says you only have to connect it.

for example, lets say you own the 3DS version, and go to a tournament with the Wii-U. the 3DS has been confirmed to be an optional controller for the Wii-U version, ergo just connect it as a controller and bang Shinigami, 4 new characters.


Of ourse considering how people are probably gonna skull**** the data the second the physical version is out in Japan tomorrow that may happen sooner then later.

Also, it's very likely one can download them via regular DLC if they don't have both versions.

It's a very logical move and Nintendo has done it before. Mario Golf 64 and GBC versions, as well as Mario Tennis 64 and GBC versions. They're not against this at all. Sakurai doesn't have that much control when it comes to this situation as he was asked to make the games. They could've had somebody else do it. He doesn't own the series, Nintendo still does.

Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire-when Jirachi was first released, you had to get a copy of Calliseum for the Gamecube that came with a special pre-order disk to transfer it to your GBA.
