***** It's all about the Underdogs

Yo everybody? What's up. I made this topic for any Smash player that had an underdog experience in their life playing the Super Smash bros. series or participating in anything in their lives. Being an Underdog, of course mean when people look down on you for reasons ranged from obivous to stupid.

No one has to holdback on the detail, but you can keep everything small if you want. And it doesn't matter what the reason is, feel free to share it. I'll won't judge you, although a few random idiots might. Just ignore them and move on. They'll probably grow up in a couple of years. Just post your story, conversate with each other and have fun.

*Just make sure your moment isn't anything stupid like, "How many people you ****ed in a day." or something. *

My story. - Character Judgment

OKay, if you guys know me aroung here, I'm a Yoshi main. Look at my main. Now look, I know what you're thinking, "You this guy's just going to whine on how people hate Yoshi in smash.' I don't whine for one thing, but this goes beyond that.

It was my frist time playing Super smash bros. Melee at the after school gaming group. A lot of people where there.(Using Fox, Falco, Marth. Everyone massively used expect for Peach. Yeah, they were machoheads.) Well I came to the scene and use Yoshi. You can imagine the reaction, "YOSHI SUCKS!" "WHY DON'T YOU USE FOX?!" "HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Well, we all now who'll lose!" It was all for stupid reasons. I asked to why they believe that, and they either said just cause of his jump.

I didn't let it get to me. I played for fun, and beat a lot of those competitive mofos. They could believe how I wa able to last so long or K.O. so much with Yoshi. I even played one of the really advanced smash players who mained Fox. He only bested me by one quick up aerial kill. Yeah, I lost, and still recieved heat; however it wasn't as much as I started. A lot of the dudes were now confused.

A little bit about my game before hand. I use to play this game by simply running a hitting. It's what I did in the orginal Smash bros. (Never raised the difficulty in the computer. Or played against anyone good.) Then I actually moved the difficulty up to Level 9 and got destroyed. I have the mind of a Underdog: persisent and devoted. So I kept at it and kept at it; started to play against actual people with good skills at the game; and I got beat alot. The constant losing didn't stop me, I learn from loses. And with that. I became a better smasher. I started to evade better, and time actions better. Not just with Yoshi, but with my other mains as well. Melee Kirby and mr.GandW.

A little later in the years, a school fund-raisier tournament came. I preticipated, using Yoshi of course. Still reiceving that critism that Yoshi mains are known for, mostly from the new guys. I show them my skills and made it to the finals. (beating a good Roy, a good fox, a good Luigi, a even Fox, a sucky Falco('Kept offing himself by spamming the Falco Phantasm.), and was beatin' by a Marth.[Got him up to 100% on his last life, but he was definetely more experience than me.) I lost again, but a lot of people were asking me to play against them one on one. I agreed. Won some matches, lost some matches.

It was after that when I hear about the teir list. No matter everyone thought my mains sucked so much! They were consider worldwide from the cream of the crap to somewhat average. Everything started to make sense, but still, I played this game, learn in trial and error and got better with said character. So I just look at those results, laughed and moved on. Why stop using these character if they work so well with me? This is one of the main reasons why I choose to ignore the tier list. I can get competitve, but it's only a game and I play for fun.

Now I play brawl and the same rules still appiles to me. I still main Yoshi and Kirby, but I now main Lucario as well. Mr.game and watch is now a secondary along with Diddy Kong, Snake, MK. I try Wolf , Luigi and Sonic out when I feel like goofing off. I'm still win matches and lose some, but amongst the people who played against me, I earn their respect and visa versa. No matter what character I use. They enjoy it that I an use them well and we have fun playing against each other.

So that's me. One average Yoshi main with a story to tell. I play to have fun, even if it seems competitive at times. I win matches, lost some. Won tournament, not huge ones, and lost some. All n all, I just gain experience and I come back for more.
