UNC ASA/Chapel Hill Melee Moses Kang Memorial Smash Tournament
Join us for UNC ASA’s first ever Moses Kang Memorial Smash Tournament in collaboration with Chapel Hill Melee! No matter what skill level you’re at or what school you go to, we want to see you play in Super Smash Bros Melee.
There will be two events: Melee singles and Melee doubles. Melee singles is the single player event and will be conducted using round robin pools. From there, we will create brackets based on how players did in pools (ie Pro, Intermediate, Amateur, etc). Melee doubles is the partner event and will be conducted using double elimination brackets.
WANNA COMPETE? Here’s how it works:
1. Register at https://smash.gg/tournament/moses-kang-memorial-tournament by January 29th 11:59PM. Online registration is REQUIRED TO COMPETE. Once you have registered, we will send you an email the week of the tournament confirming your registration and release the final schedule.
2. Follow instructions from the email and show up on January 31st with payment. Each competitor must pay a $5 venue fee and $5 per event.

DON'T WANT TO COMPETE? No worries. You can still come watch and show support for a $5 spectator fee. We’ll even feed you! (Please register online if you have dietary restrictions) Just show up on Jan 31st in the Great Hall with your payment at 1PM and let out your inner cheerleader.
FEES:
-Spectator Fee ($5, includes pizza, no online registration required unless you have dietary restrictions)
-Venue Fee ($5, includes pizza)
-Melee Singles ($5 + venue fee, registration required)
-Melee Doubles ($5 + venue fee, registration required)
Venue fee will be WAIVED with a full setup, which includes Melee + TV. If you intend on bringing a full setup you must indicate so on the registration form.
NOTE: A percentage of profit will go towards UNC ASA’s service project benefitting local Burmese refugees. More information to come.
