Take a look at this video. Watch Lucina, specifically.

http://youtu.be/cCE-iKciVJA

If I'm not mistaken Marth was not even that fast in Melee, and I'm quite sure he was not seen to be that fast in the E3 demo.

Lucina's speed in this video is...for lack of a better word...ridiculously fast. Look at her run cancel in to ^tilt.

Did they differentiate her more from Marth than we were told, or is this a depiction of what faster characters may have been buffed to, or is this a trick of the eyes.

I don't know about you but she looks to be moving awfully freaking fast. Her grab also deploys instantly out of run on Ganondorf.

That could possibly just be set in Smash Run mode. I find it hard to believe that she's that fast without being boosted. It's so jarring compared to her other animations.

Plus, it says "Smash" right on top of the screen.

If this isn't only unique to Lucina in the final release build, we have a hell of a lot to discuss in terms of what this will do to game flow. Will the game really be in danger of being campy if approaching can be that fast? Even with a lot of the mechanics parented from Brawl?

Edit : has it been confirmed that "Smash" appears at the top of the screen in all Smash run sessions?

Why aren't the other characters noticeably modified?

Yeah, movement that fast plus slow recovery from most moves will yield a very defensive game. Not necessarily a bad thing. A literal mix of Melee and Brawl!?

Yeah.

-Super speed
-Her jump has definitely been buffed
-'Smash' at the top of the screen

This is Smash Run.

You can go around 6:15 to see the same 'Smash' title at the top of the screen. Haven't seen anything like that in a regular match.

Has it been confirmed yet that you can do Smash Run in 2v2 teams? Lucina and Shulk are clearly on a team in that game, friendly fire appears to be off. Another one of the videos shows their victory screen and it looks like a typical victory screen.

Don't believe it has been confirmed. But I'd imagine that there will be an option for Team Smash Run in this case. Two players could spawn in the same location and have some incentive to stick around one another.

I just find it odd that a regular Team Match would have 'Smash' at the top like in Smash Run. Again, it hasn't been confirmed or anything, but from what I've seen, I'd go with Smash Run.

Not sure if receiving boosts for 'Jump' also plays a role in enhanced mobility, but Lucina and Shulk (kinda) seem equivalent to Wario in the air

Definitely seeming like Smash run thanks to the new image dump leak, there's a photo of the same 4 characters at the "power up screen" and their stats.

Gah well, false alarm in any case...back to the crazy leakage.
