UK Tourney Possiblility

Hi, I'm a largely newcomer to the Smash community due to there being very little competitiveness in the UK, especially where I am currently living (Essex). I've always been a fan of Smash games, and regularly watch select tournaments on Twitch. All of this time watching these tournaments wanted me to go to one, however the majority are outside of the UK, and not worth the journey. I know that there is For Glory for Smash Wii U, however the small amount of button lag is unbearable for me, and I always prefer playing locally.
Therefore, due to the above reasons, I wish to set up a little tourney for the Essex county, and any surrounding it. I wrote this post so that I can gauge the interest, and availability of any who may attend. Of course, the more people that show interest, the more I will spend on both the venue, and a possible prize pot. Due to this, I ask that you reply if you are interested, or if you know any that may be interested that you share this with them. Thank you.

Also, I believe at the university of essex they have a bi-weekly melee tournament so I recommend asking people who go there if they would attend.

I've been looking for some sort of UK scene for a while now. It's pretty dead. There are a few Facebook groups but again, fairly dead. I live around Oxford so if you do happen to run a tourney then I'd be happy to travel and attend.

There is a smash scene growing in the North East of Newcaslte and Middlesbrough. We have tournaments like NES (North East Smash) That are being run in Newcastle and tournaments in Teeside (I think it was in a university) Professor Pro himself has came as well. There is also a Smash 4 tournament that is happing on the 7th of june.

There is a Facebook group that i am in https://www.facebook.com/groups/NEsmash/?fref=ts It is not dead. The scene is growing very well. Maybe we play some matches together if you do come to Newcastle!
